Is the light show also done for the second dinner seating? I read somewhere that it was not.

Yes it is done at both seatings, but it is not done the second time you dine in the restuarant.

What is done on the 7 day cruises where you would be dining there twice?

thats a good question
- if it's not done the 1st night (because of formal night, etc) does the restaurant stay in black & white?
if your rotation has already gotten the show, on the 2nd night does it stay in color?

On the nights that you do not have the show, the restaurant stays black and white.

It is important to know that on the 7 day cruise the DO do the show on the night of embarkation. We had read here that it would be done on the second night in the AP if you dined there on embarkation night. We called guest services to confirm this, and they also said: "No. The light show is not shown the first night." As a result, we sent our kids to the clubs the first night. Fortunately, our server (Aleksandra) asked why we had not brought our children to the light show. This gave me time to dash out and pick the kids back up out of the clubs (they'd been there all of about 12 minutes!) before the show started. I felt badly as the kids weren't dressed for dinner since we hadn't planned on bringing them, but our server said it would be okay.

SO. . . If your rotation starts with Animators Palate, please know the show IS on the first night. Our server said it is always on the first night.
