Animated Mickey Tree Topper Owners

We own a Mr. Christmas Mickey Tree Topper and have enjoyed it for a few years now. This year, the lantern wouldn't light!! Well, after a few tense momments and reseating the light, Mickey's lantern would light again but only at the top of his swing.

Question: Is this normal? Or is the light supposed to be on the whole time?

I know, you would think after all these years I would remember!!

BTW, if you own one of these treee toppers, take good care of them. Used ones on eBay are going for twice the retail price. New In The Box ones are going for over $100!!

We have one of these we have had him for about 6 years, luckily the light still works! Our lantern works throughout his entire arm movement, but at least yours is working partially thats better than not at all .

I am happy to say that we have had our Mickey faithfully waving his lantern for quite a few years. He is still working (after a huge search for the power supply!)

The light stays on continuously.

Thanks, everyone! I thought the lantern was supposed to stay on the entire time. Oh, well, unless it stops competely, I'll leave it be for now.

But...how do I explain to all the kids visiting over the holidays that we have a flashing Mickey on top of our Christmas tree?:?
