Animal Viewing at AK

Wanted to stay at AKL this time but couldn't quite afford it. We want to visit the resort and check out the animals. Is there a particular time of day when the animals are more visible - early morning or maybe at dusk?

There were animals around at both of the times that you mentioned. They tend to go inside during the afternoon.

If you don't see them on the main savannah then try over by the pool. I'm sure that you will have no trouble seeing animals!

Dusk would probably be your best bet...as the animal 'feeders' are loaded up around 4-6pm. So most of the animals will be out there eating.

There are some great viewing areas off of Arusha rock (right outside the lobby - opposite the entrance doors) and even on the 'wings' on (I believe) the 3rd maybe 4th floor there are 'viewing areas' with telescopes for you to get a closer view.

Also on Arusha Rock there are CM's hanging out there to talk to you about the animals...lots of fun!
