Has anyone stayed at Animal Kingdom? Are the rooms remodled Pro and Cons

We stayed there last June. The room was not remodeled but we really didn't notice it was a great room. We booked a standard but got what they considered a standard room. A savanna view and we were right above a people pen. Got view and excellent people running the hotel.

Animal Kingdom Lodge (note: Disney's Animal Kingdom is the park--the resort is Animal Kingdom Lodge) is my favorite WDW resort. I haven't stayed in a remodeled room yet, but the original rooms are beautiful.

Loved AKL. We stayed in July in a standard non-remodeled room, but it was close to the elevator and had a view of the pool. Loved walking the trails before dinner!
