I'm wondering if we can squeeze both of these into one day? I know the water parks close pretty early though. Anyone ever do this?

The AK closes pretty early too, 5pm. Water Parks are 6pm. So, I guess if you do the AK in the morning and then the WP in the afternoon. Depending on how many people are with you, you can tour the AK in a leisurly pace in about 4-5 hours. Shorter if you don't want to see everything. Save the Kali for last since you'll probably get wet anyway! ::yes:: I always get drenched! I learned that one the hard way. :duck: lolol Also, depending on your type of park ticket you don't want to waste a day with a half day in each. BTW, I've never tried to do both in one day. I'm sure someone out there has, but I hope this has helped a little.

We went to Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach on the same day. However, we had been to Animal Kingdom before so skipped some things. If it is your first time and you want to do everything, I would say no. Otherwise, be there before opening time to get in early, see the highlights at Animal Kingdom, go back to the hotel to eat and change, and then proceed to the water park. Keep in mind all the parks are more crowded with longer lines in the afternoon. We did get to go on plenty of slides, tubes etc. even though we did not get there until about 2. That was more than enough for us, since the water parks wear us out faster than any other park (climbing all those steps to the top of each ride).

It depends on what you want to get done at AK. We were finished with everything we wnated to see and do there by lunch... so we easily could have done the afternoon at the water park. And it really depends on the lines and stuff...

Scope out the things you want to do there, have a plan of action, get there when it opens, and you might be able to do both =)

We got to AK at opening and stayed until lunch time. We wore our suits under our clothes and had a beach bag packed and ready for swimming in the car. Around 1 p.m. we left AK and drove right over to BB (very close). We had fast food from the snack bar for lunch and stayed till close. Worked fine for us.

tboss I think your legs will take a pounding!! I always feel that there seems to be a lot of walking at AK & then to go to BB where everything is up!! will tire you out. I'm assuming that you have APs or length of stay passes? I know on the hopper+ pass this would count as a park "hit" & an extra "hit".
If you've been before & don't want to catch all of the shows then I think it's do able but if not I think you would be just as well at your accomodations pool a bit later in the afternoon.
