Hello all,
I love Animal Kingdom and it would for sure be my first choice of properties to buy points at but Polynesian also looks pretty enticing and it might be easier to find the number of points I want there.
If I went with Poly how easy would it be to still book a standard room at Animal Kingdom at the 7th month mark? We like to travel early/mid December and late January/early February.

Early and mid December you will always stay at home resort. Mild possibility of switching out if you are booking 1BRs, but you won't get studios. Even SSR can be rough the first two weeks of December for studios.

By "standard room," I assume you mean studios? Those are very different bookings than 1BR.

Early Feb, when I usually travel with SSR points, is easy. Even right now, with millions of extra points floating around, studios are wide open.

AKV has multiple booking categories. Value villas are smaller and located only at Jambo House. Hard to get unless you book when booking opens exactly at 11 months out. Even then you might be too late. Studios, one and two bedroom villas. Different views, but cannot be requested.
Concierge - Studios, one and two bedrooms. No views can be requested. Very difficult to book and only five two bedroom lockoff villas. Jambo only.
Standard - pool/parking lot view at Kidani, Pool at Jambo. Studios, one and two bedroom villas. GV at Kidani
Savanna - various savannas at Kidani and Jambo. Studios, one and two bedroom villas. GV at Kidani and Jambo.

So when you say standard room, what do you mean?

Hi I'm sorry about the vagueness, I meant a standard studio room. I believe Auroraborealis answered my question - Thank you!

My3kids - supper helpful, thank you!

I assumed studios based on Poly being an option. No one should be buying Poly who isn't studio based.
