Animal Kingdom plan

Trying to set up a plan for our Animal Kingdom day. If we do Safari right at rope drop (9:00 opening) can we make the 10:00 Lion King show?

Should be fine. Lines will be short at rope drop and Safaris isn't long enough to make you miss a 10:00 show. Good plan starting off with the safari, I think its always best in the morning!

I am struggling with what to get FP for. Don't need Safari if we do rope drop. Not doing EE, Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl etc. because daughters are 4 and 5 and too short and/or scared. Don' t think we really need for shows but not sure. Will definitely do Kali. Maybe Adventurers Outpost?

Along those lines... we have a pre-park opening ADR at Tusker House (8:15) so we may not be done until 9:30 or so. The ADR is important and we're only staying in AK for a few hours that day--only in the Africa section. Will the lines for the safari be crazy then? We want to ride the safari after breakfast, walk around the Pagani trail and see the Lion King show at 11 AM, leaving after the show.

Edited to add: OP... we have FP+ on another day for the safari, kali river rapids and dinosaur. Not 100% I'll keep dinosaur since my 5.5 year old will be scared.

Have you considered using one of your FP+ selections for a show? I mention this because in your case it may be beneficial since you have young daughters that way they can get the best unobstructed views of the shows and be able to sit as close as possible, this is especially useful for Lion King.. Otherwise, definitely recommend a FP+ for Kali, especially during the summer months, the third selection could be a toss up based on your preferences.. Hope this helps!

I'm going to AK on a day when it opens EMH at 8. I currently have FP+ for Dinosaur, Safari, and Everest, but I also want to ride Kali. When will the line for that get really bad?

Yes would consider using for a show like Lion King. How does FP work for these? I know they give you a 20 min arrival. Is there reserved seating or you just enter before standby?

And is Adventurers Outpost worth it? Does line get really long?
