Animal Kingdom Park...is it worth it?

Over the last two trips AK has become my second favorite park after Epcot. We actually skipped MK on 2 of our last 3 trips and did the other three parks. With all the construction at DHS that would be my park to skip if I didn't have a hopper at this point but I'd skip MK before AK.

It depends on what you want/need out of a park.

For soaking in the immersive atmosphere and feeling like you've left the real world behind, AK is as good as MK in my opinion. We love to look around and explore all the little details and decorations, so we love it. And it's the only place you can meet Pocahontas, Baloo, and King Louie!

But if you're all about the attractions, it may be worth skipping. Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, and Dinosaur are all too rough for us (medical issues), so there wouldn't be a ton for us to do if we really just wanted to ride rides.

Take the time to explore AK, it's the best themed park in all of Disney World.

We're skipping AK this time around. We don't feel it's worth it for us. We have an amazing zoo at home, the Bronx Zoo, so we're not bothering. Not knocking AK, but we'd rather spend our time at one of the water parks that we never get ourselves to.
