Animal kingdom meal vouchers

Can someone give me details on these vouchers? Where do I purchase them and what restaurants can I use them at?

We purchased them in May last year. But we didn't get the meal ones, just the ones for snacks. They inclided popcorn or ice cream plus another one for bottled water or soda. We saved a little bit of money but can't remember the exact amount.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

We bought them at the ticket counter right out side the park entrance.

The Animal Kingdom "Meal Plus" Program allows you to purchase a special certificate at any Animal Kingdom counter service restaurant (Restaurantosaurus, Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, or Tusker House) that entitles you to the following:

counter service meal with small drink (non-alcoholic) - one reader reports consistently getting LARGE drinks
coupon for a box of popcorn or an ice cream
coupon for a bottle of water

The cost is $10.99 for adults and $5.99 for kids, which is quite a good deal considering that the higher-priced counter service meals alone can set you back that much, once you add the drink. You must use the coupons on the day you purchase them.

They have actually gone up about a dollar. When we were there in Sept they were $10.99 ($11 + with tax). We thought it was a good deal. We ate Flame Tree--I had ribs with 2 side and a drink, it was $8.99 + tax. Then I still had a coupon for 1 popcorn or ice cream--got a Simba bar that was $2.50 and then got a my last drink ont he way out of the park, $2.50 also.
In Dec when I went for Dis con they were up to $11+ ($12+ with tax). This time I used it at Tusker house for the rotisserie Chicken with 2 sides and a drink (sorry cant remember the price) and another Simba later and a coke. Its still a good deal I think. And depends on what you order how much you are saving.
You would use these at all the parks if they offered them

We bought them this past Sept and thought they were a great deal! We are not heavy eaters, so we bought one adult meal voucher for the two of us. This worked great for us. We got the rotisserie chicken at Tusker House. He ate most of the chicken and I ate the mashed potatos and green beans. (Not planned that way, he just eats soooo fast!) We got a large Coke (which they just gave us), which we shared and then later we shared a water and an ice cream. It was enough food for the two of us for the day! And since we paid 11.66 we saved 3.61. Not a whole lot, but if we hadnt we might have each gotten a meal, and each gotten an ice cream and so on and not eaten it all. We found it was great for us!
