Animal Kingdom Lodge wildlife question

Hello. Does anyone have first hand experience with seeing animals close up at the hotel if we do not participate in the Waynama Safari excursion. We have the dining plan so the cost of the adventure would be for the animal experience. Would like some feedback whether this is the ony way to see the animals up close and how it compares to the safari offered at the park.

These are some shots from our Savannah view from Kidani Village earlier this month. The animals were plentiful, not at every moment, but fairly often.

You can see them extremely close, especially at Kidani. Even at Jambo, you can easily hear giraffes eating. Animal viewing areas are abundant and easily available through the resort.

The safari offers a closer view and a more diverse collection. But hearing animals eating, hearing the pant as they run, and seeing a large variety is common throughout AKL. I have stayed there 5 times and love it!

I didn't go to the Jambo house, but there was a large indoor and outdoor viewing area that were both nice and had rocking chairs. There is also a raised and fenced in trail where you can walk into the Savanah and there are ambassadors that will answer questions and give you other facts about Africa.

Sanaa wasn't too bad. If you dont get a window seat you can see them at ground level in the waiting area or check out the outdoor seating areas before and after. Sanaa is in the Kidani Village portion which is the DVC section of the resort. There is an internal shuttle that looks like a smaller airport shuttle bus, or it's about a 10 min walk.

Really the only one is Sanaa, which has an adventurous menu. There are still plenty of tame options.

You can see animals from most seats inside, but they are have a great area right outside.
