Animal Kingdom Lodge Villa's Question

We just booked our next vacation with the DVC at the AKLV for April 2008. We also just confirmation in the form of a letter from DVC stating that there will be construction happening at the resort during the time we are there. Has anyone recently returned from AKLV that can give me an update on construction? I would hate to spend our vacation watching and listening to construction vehicles. Thanks in advance.

We have been booked for a July 08 stay at AKV and have not received anything like that. WE probably should have.

We stayed at AKV 2 weeks ago and the construction was not evident when we were in our villa. I wouldn't worry about it for your trip - they have done a nice job keeping the construction activity isolated from the guest rooms in use.

The Kidani construction is far enough away from where you will be staying that you won;t have any awareness of that at all. The renovation of rooms within the Jambo House (main lodge - where your villa will be located) is well isolated from the other areas.

We will be there in May 08 and also got the construction letter. I don't see the construction at that point being any problem. I think by then the constructin will be taking place at Kidani and not the lodge. The letter is probably just a way of them covering themselves.

Interesting, I'll be there in May '08 also and I haven't received a construction letter.
