We stayed for two nights at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. What a wonderful resort! We had a room on the 5th floor overlooking the Zebra trail. The animals were out till mid-morning and then again late afternoon to dark.

There were so many things for the children to do at this resort. There were pool-side activities everyday -- including paper doll making and other neat games for kids of all ages. There was also cookie decorating at Boma's every day at 1 o'clock. My kids also enjoy medalion color shavings in the lobby one day.

My kids also enjoyed talking with the cast members about the animals and participating in animal tracking one day.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at this resort. The pool is great ... and the kids loved the slide ... and the playground.

The only negative was the lighting ... I found it very hard to read in my room at night ... I jokingly said I would bring my own 75 watt bulbs next trip ... then came across some other postings today with others saying the same thing. But then again .... there's so much to do at this resort who needs to read!

Concierge service was EXCELLENT and everything I expected from this resort.

Glad you had a great time and enjoyed the AKL. We were there in early June and thought it was wondferfull. Great sevice including the buses.

Great report! We will be experiencing AKL concierge in December for the 1st time and enjoy reading positive reports. Did you eat at Boma?

Welcome home. Glad you had a great time. AKL is our Fav. resort.
AspiringCIndy,
Boma is fantastic! We ate there for 3 dinners and 2 breakfasts during our stay. I am a VERY picky eater and I loved it. I didn't try as much as my DH but it was great. There is something for everyone (including "american" food). There is a little section of food on the buffet of "regular" food if you don't enjoy the African food so fear not at least you can say you tried it!

I just did my reading by the pool! ;)

I second Bomas! Amazing food. Just be careful about eating off the kids area because I heard the chefs will make fun of you very loudly. LOL Take the cullinary tour if you have time. It did a great job of explaining about the food and you will even get to taste a few things.
