Well I will try to do a bit of a live trip report anyway.

Dates

14th - 22nd August - Animal Kingdom Lodge

22nd - 29th August - Disney Fantasy

And tonight, we are already at Manchester Airport in the Radisson Blu, as my watch handily informed me on arrival:

The room is nice, very modern looking and very purple:

We stopped for an American tea en route to the hotel too - well, we might as well start as we mean to go on...

Now we are just waiting for a very over-excited 3 year old to go to sleep so we can have a nice rest and wake up refreshed for our flight tomorrow

:)

Ohhh I soooo need a Disney fix, living vacarously via your TR will do just nicely

Have a safe flight and an amazing trip

Have a safe flight and a magical trip! :sunny:

Have a great time. We did akl for 10 nights and disney dream back in may, for a adult trip and loved every minute

Well a big old storm shut down MCO for a while and we were sent to Jacksonville after a bit of circling in the air, to refuel.

Eventually got to Orlando and have spent the morning in Animal Kingdom including breakfast at Tusker House.
Very hot and muggy so headed back to the hotel for lunch and a nap :)

The biggest storm we ever saw was at AKL, water was running down the road near the bus stops like it was a river. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly it all dries up though.

I should think after such a delay just being in AK for am then lunch & nap was the best idea :thumbsup2 it's too tiring to do an 'all dayer' on your 1st day.

Looking forward to hearing more.

Just had dinner with Luke, Paula & Joseph (although he slept the whole meal) at the Orlando Alehouse. :)

Luke, I let Matt drive home. Now having a vodka & coke to recover.

Some reason I've woken up very early but Joseph is still fast asleep! My prediction was wrong!!

And you let Matt drive??!! He must be very persuasive!!! We got lost on the way back and somehow ended up in Golden Oaks!!

And dinner at the Alehouse was great. I've been waiting years to get this meal again!

MK today, hopefully it's slightly less rainy than yesterday

I love the Ale House :thumbsup2 hope weather is picking up, we had a few days of rain at the beginning of August.
