Animal Kingdom Jambo House - May 2017

Hi all!

I am really excited as I just booked my next solo trip to Disney and I will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Jambo House. I took two trips to Disney in 2016 where I stayed at Coronado Springs and All Star Music Resort. Seeing as I had two very different experiences I had a few questions about this resort.

1. How big are the grounds? (I was put in rooms far from the lobby at both resorts obviously the All Star resort was much smaller so it was a quick walk to the lobby where at Coronado it was more like a 10 minute walk)

2. How frequent are the buses to the parks and how crowded do they get? (Coronado buses were great! Multiple bus stops that came frequently and was never crowded whereas the All Star buses did not come frequently (especially MK - up to 30 min waits sometimes) and were always packed!

3. I am a vegetarian and though I had seen a vegetarian option I was wondering if the quick service restaurant offered Veggie burgers. The other two resorts offered it but I don't see it on the menu.

Any additional information you have to offer is greatly appreciated!

I know The Mara has a veggie flatbread and falafel, but not sure on the veggie burger. Most places with burgers will have that option...I'm sure someone will have a more certain answer on the thread or stop by here to help you out

Good for you! AKL is our favorite resort. As far as the grounds, you won't have access to the majority because the animals do! In fact a major difference that you'll experience in Jambo House is that all of the corridors are inside. From there, you'll have access to the savannah to sit, relax, and see the animals and the pool area (which is fairly big). You can also trek to Kidani Village which is a short walk away. Enjoy your stay.
