Animal Kingdom hours this summer?

Disney shows AK closing at 6 pm starting Sunday. I expected Disney to modify hours to stay later during the summer. Will they make a change less than a week out or are they really closing at 6 pm this summer?

Disney can change hours at any point, even the same day so hours are never truly finalized until park close. We can 'guess' what they might do but park hours are things that prove challenging to predict.

My guess it will stay the same, go to 8-7 or 7:30-7 for prime summer time. That’s what they did last year, which they don’t have to follow but gives some perspective on what they might do

They've been updating hours about 2-3 weeks out. AK has been being adjusted almost daily to 8a-7p (7:30a for early entry). I would not expect many 8p closures.

Thank you all. I expect them to go to 8-7 for the summer but I find it odd that 6 days from now still shows closing at 6 pm.

They just updated next week's hours and animal kingdom is now open until 7pm 2 days during our trip.

Yeah I just checked and starting June 14 it's open til 7pm and starting June 21 it's open til 8pm.

I really don’t understand how Disneyland can put out final hours months ahead of time, but WDW tries to keep them as short as possible and really prevents people from planning what they want to do.

I think it's all about attendance patterns being fairly steady at DL but at WDW they can vary significantly.

I get that, I thought I had edited my previous post but apparently never hit post. They used to adjust to final hours a month or more out. Now it is two weeks. Hard to plan on parks when like that.
