We planned a last minute trip to Disney next week, and I am curious if Animal Kingdom will be more crowded on the 16th, which is a day they have the special ticketed event after hours from 9pm - 12am. I was thinking it wouldn't impact the crowds that day, but then realized fastpasses for Na'vi River Journey and Kilamanjaro Safaris are gone, whereas there are still some left for the 15th or 17th. I would think Thursday would be less crowded than Friday before MLK weekend. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

I “think” people can get in early for the ticketed events and get get fp’s for rides during those normal operating hours prior to the dah.

This is true, or at least it was last year when we did the After Hours at AK.

The After Hours guests can only enter the park at 7 p.m., so they can only get FPs for the last hour before the park closes. We were able to snag a FP for Primeval Whirl, which wasn't part of the After Hours event.

I suppose there may be people using a regular park ticket to be there all day plus the after hours event. Maybe that would boost attendance on that day, but I can't imagine by all that much. The After Hours tickets are pretty limited in number (a couple thousand, probably).
