Animal Kingdom construction

How is the construction at Animal Kingdom going is the main building about done now???looking to book for December 2008 and am very concerned with construction since we have never stayed here before.....also was wondering how there food court was??any help would be great!!!

The construction to the main building is complete and has been for a few months. The only contruction now at AKL is the construction of the new DVC building ,the additional new savanna and corresponding animal barn. This only effects the sunset savannah, as it is in direct view on the construction. All animals have been removed from that savannah, or will be shortly. I stayed there in March and saw or heard no construction during our stay. The food court is located on the first floor adjacent to the pool, it's called The Mara.

The animals are still on the Sunset Savannah. They're not scheduled to be removed until January.

We had a 2BR villa facing the Sunset Savannah earlier this month and the construction at Kidani Village didn't bother us in the least. Others have reported lots of noise if they were on their balcony. Guess it depends on where your villa is.

Construction has been completed and everything is fine. Disney tries to keep noise to a minimum and its very quiet most of the time. The mara has been rated one of the best food courts in all of WDW. Its amazing and has everything.......Enjoy your trip!!!
