Hi! We'd like to do the breakfast at Tusker House with characters, but will that mean we get into the park later than other people? What I'm trying to figure out is if eating there will mean we have to wait forever for the safari?
Thanks!

Well, Tusker is right next to the safari. Can't you just duck out for a second, get the Fastpasses, and go back to breakfast? If the return time is correct, perhaps you could grab the FP before you dine.

If you're planning on grabbing FP for something else (Everest, for example), the above obviously wouldn't work.

Depends on a lot of things, Tusker house is very close to Safarti. Depending on when your ressie is, you could get FP before you eat, or book your ADR very early then go on safari, or go on safari first then eat at tusker. You have lots of options, and depending on the time of year, the crowds may or may not be a problem. Go and havve a good time, eat, haave fun!!!

How about booking an early character breakfast there? I love Tusker House and always book an early breakfast before park opens. Then, when the park opens, you will be one of the first for Safari. You will be ahead of the 9am crowd rush coming in from the main gates.

this is what we did, but didnt need it, we walked right on the safari after breakfast. i gave the fastpasses to a dad and his son later in the day when there was a 40 minute wait.

I'll tell you how I do it, but my plan might not appeal to y'all at all.

I make a breakfast reservation for the Tusker House for about 45 minutes before the park is due to open. (This makes for a nice unhurried walk up to the resturant, which is quite a ways from the enterance gate) After breakfast I make sure to be at the rope, and after it drops I walk quickly up to the fastpass machines and get a fastpass. Then I get into the standby line and ride the safari. (Most of the crowd is still walking up the path from the enterance gate.)

Then I use the remaining time (usually not much of a wait) to walk the nearby nature path, riding the safari for the second time befor walking down to other attractions.

Works for me.

I agree with the before park opening...we always get an 8am ADR for a 9am park opening...usually done by 8:45...My wife will head to the Safari for FPs and the boys and I will go ride EE about 3 times and meet her in Dinoland where we ride PW and DInosaur...we usually save the FO for the safari for the end of the day after the parde...

the best thing to do is get that pre opening ADR...that goes for any park and chracter meals

Like others i would advise booking breakfast for around 8am, then after breakfast, go straight to the safari. We did this last year and definitely noticed more animals first thing in the morning. I was later told this is the best time of the day to ride KS.
The animals get a little tired in the Florida sun as the day goes on and tend to go for a snooze.

For those who have done the breakfast, could you please post some pics of the characters. Just curious what they look like in their safari clothes. Thanks
