Animal Kingdom 3 bedroom availability

I'm considering booking a 3 bedroom savanna view at AKL. I'll need to use 3 years of points from my AK contract, but that will only get me 4 week nights. I do have several other contracts I could use to book the final night on a different reservation, but that means losing the 11 month advantage.

Wondering if anyone has experience in booking 3 bedroom savanna view and what their experience was with availability booking at the 7 month window. Opinions on whether its better to book Sun-Wed night and hope the coinciding Thursday doesn't get booked, or Mon-Thur and try to pick up Sunday at the 7 month. Also, I'm looking in October and January.

I could easily book a 2 bedroom and fit all my party, but wanting to give everyone a little more space and privacy (and also really think it would be awesome to stay in a grand villa)

Note this is 2016 and availability of basically everything has grown tighter since then.

During the high demand season, the standard GV is usually gone three or more days a week; the sav view GVs are usually missing days during those extremely high demand times mentioned above but are sometimes open, even for a week, otherwise. The Jambo GV's are typically missing three to six nights during the high demand season. During the low to moderate demand season, they are open about 60% of the time with holiday times, June, parts of May and Aug, and race weekends often having days missing.

October is high demand season. January, it depends on when in January, although 2020 has been atypically busy post-marathon. MLK and marathon are typically danger zones in January, but who knows what 2021 is going to look like.
