Animal Crossing Issues...

I keep forgetting to ask this very very important question.....What is going to happen to our town when we go to WDW April 3rd when we are not able to play it for a week??? Matt has already been pushing my husband to allow us to pack the Wii and the game so that nothing happens. We are figuring that if by some stroke of luck we get the "perfect town" in the next few days, it will be trashed when we get back. Do you lose "perfect town" status if you don't play for a few days??

This outcome is drastically affecting our travel plans. We might just have to stay home. ;) Worse yet we are going for 10 days in July!!!:scared1:

On April 2, play AC and then save. When you return from your WDW, set the Wii date to April 3. Play a little, water flowers, etc. Save the game, and then set the Wii date to April 4....repeat until you arrive at the actually date in reality.

This is just a suggestion. You don't necessarily have to play every day. But you might have a lot of dead flowers if you don't. I thought what your son did, that I have to play everyday. I soon discovered that it all depends on the date. Like tonight, I played March 16, saved and then set the Wii date to March 17, played then saved, then set the Wii date to March 18 and played, and saved. I then reset the Wii date back to March 16. As long as I don't open the AC game all is good. In fact I don't have to play until the 18th or 19th.

Hope this helps.

Signs that you're a little too involved in AC:
1) It's raining in your town, so you go to your window at home and check out how bad the weather really is (of course it would be bright sunshine).
2) You find a lost, crying kitten and want to call Child Welfare authorities on the mother.
3) You invite a neighbor over, and get really annoyed when they don't show up.
4) You spend time at work thinking up new catch-phrases, preferably in foreign languages.
5) The fact that I think we need a screenplay for Ian's conspiracy theory, "The Turnip Connection".
:lmao:

Another sign:
I was walking around the American History museum in Washington, D.C., this past Saturday. I looked down and saw stars...so I mentioned to my husband that I needed to find my shovel so I could dig up the stars.

Sure... the security guards would have completely understood. :lmao:

Melissa - good vacation strategy. I think you've just helped Greg and Lois, Don, and Nicole figure out what to do when going on the podcast cruise.....:thumbsup2

Greg - you have the same warped mind as Ian.... I can't wait to see the two of you play off each other in person one day....:scared1:

Hey folks.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm leaving town for a few days. My mom finally passed away tonight. I'll be taking my laptop, as my brother has wireless, so I'll be available, but not at home. Ian will be staying home with the girls, so he'll be playing some. Make sure to check up on him (not that he needs it)....

Oh Nancy, I am so sorry to hear that. You will be in my thoughts over the next few days. I hope you are doing ok.

I'd also bring in as many hybrids as you can. If they're in your house, they won't wither.

Oh Nancy, I'm so sorry. I know it's been a difficult time for you.:grouphug:

Nancy - Sorry to hear about your mom. I'll be keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Safe travels.

Greg - I went out for a run on the weekend and for the last couple of miles the song that plays when you go into town popped into my head. I could not stop it from playing it over and over again.

Lisa - Last time I went on vacation, I just kept resetting the clock when I came back. For example, I left on Jan 8th so when I came back on the 18th. Set the clock/date accordingly and I just played as though it was Jan 8th. I only spent 15-30 minutes playing each day until I caught up.

Nancy,
Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing...:sad1:
My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family. Have a safe trip.

Joan is creepy. I imagine her watering turnips in a basement full of gro-lights going "Hehehehehehe". Little anime kids are the mules, "buying" turnips and "selling" them to Nook for a slight markup, preventing any direct connection between him and Joan. He sells them on the black market for 1000 bells each or whatever for weeks, and then boosts the buying price once in awhile to keep the kiddies interested. The turnips get smuggled to the city in the bus, and offloaded in Resetti's tunnel (he provides security for the operation). Redd deals them out of his shop. What do you think is in all those extra bundles and stuff? Think he gets by selling only three things in one week? You know why your ex-villagers don't recognize you anymore? They moved to the city and got hooked on turnips.

Ian - you're a riot :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It's amazing how we've all gotten soooooo involved in AC. My DH still thinks it's a "kids" game and just doesn't get it....

Can't wait for your tutorial on "Grass hacking -101"

Take care while Nancy is gone - my thoughts are with you & the girls too

There is a St. Patrick's Day gift today. Pete says it will save you from pinches. If he can't give it to you because your letters are full, toss a letter, then save and restart. -

I also found a new pattern on the web. I have it in Ables so anyone can pick it up if you are over-

I'm glad you had the chance to visit us! Its kinda fun having people visit your town, even when you're out, I think we'll leave our gate open more often (:

Come and visit again!
