Animal Crossing Issues...

I figure that if the programming throws one of those into the mix, then the randomizer is set to throw more of those into your ocean. Just a matter of waiting it out and constantly surveying the shore. Only problem is - who with a real life has time for that??????

I also figure the randomizer (the program that controls the fish - what comes up and when) is also set to stop putting those into the mix as often after the 6pm tournament close.

It's a very easy thing for the programmers to set up. Not a very easy thing to like, though....

I visited the fortune teller today and had a really unpleasant fortune - doom and gloom all over the place. Now my character keeps tripping when she runs!! OWWW! :rotfl2:

This game is hilarious......

I don't know about you but the look of the squid is a little ... unappealing. But it definitely beats the horse mackerel that "sounds fine to me".

I said that to Greg the other day, the squid are just yucky looking (like something that's been skinned).

and Nancy - holy cow! what a humongous tuna!! I won with a 47+ inch sea bass. Congratulations.

We'll be waiting for our bridge (:

You won with a sea bass! Now I'm really ticked. And my Nooks was closed today for repairs so I couldn't sell all the fruit I have lying around to by more turnips.

I got a shopping card today. Can anyone tell me what it is for and how I would use it?? I'm only familiar if it has a bullseye on it!;)
Thanks!!! :goodvibes

Shopping card - like a debit card to use at Gracie Grace. It basically lets you carry your bank account with you instead of carrying bags of cash. You can only pocket 99,999 without having to put the rest in bags. Using the shopping card allows you the freedom of not having cash in your pocket....

spoken like a true turnip millionaire......:lmao:

Gotcha! Thanks. The other day Matt was on as me and was selling something and realized I had to much money in my pocket (right there tells you that its JUST a game!) I just put $50,000.00 in the bank....is that okay to do?

I love the look of seeing lots of bells in my pockets. For some reason I like to leave them in there until I'm forced to bank them. I mean, who of my animal neighbors is going to mug me in my orange grove?! But in the city there have been a few animals that have said something about having money on the card because it's safer. Wouldn't that be hysterical if there was a hoodlum in the city who would mug you for your bells :rotfl2: Now THAT would be like real life.

Any buy paintings in the City? I bought 4 and two of them were fakes...

It is fine to do and as I have over 16Mil in the bank I would be in a lot more trouble than you if it wasn't alright. In fact the game will send you prizes every so often when your bank balance reaches certain amounts.

I sometimes stop and see shoes I really want in the real world go to try them on, and then have to stop and sigh because I actually am not a millionaire in real life :headache: and I am bound by the rules of having a credit card to pay off :sad1:

I have only had one real and have had three fakes. I still get them though because it is the only way to complete the collection in the museum, I just have to hope my luck changes.

:lmao: :lmao: That really would be something to see, and you would have that look that you do when you get stung by a bee.

Okay when we give money to the Town Fund...will we find out right then that we have enough for a bridge?? Today I gave $100,000.00 and my son gave $50,000.00 and we have given in the past but not sure how much. Nothing was said when we donated. Does that mean that we do not have enough yet (and then should only give say $1000 at a time) or do we have to wait for a letter or something?

Oh and BIG news...We found out today that our Nookway is closing tomorrow for sudden remodel....so does that mean our wildest dreams are coming true?? Are we getting Nookingtons??? We just got Nookway last week!!!

Unfortunately you won't know how much you have donated and they might tell you the next day when you go to donate that they are going to build something. If you pay too much it doesn't roll over to the next time. So if you have already started to give money but you don't know how much you might take a hit. The best way to avoid this is to save the money in the bank and pay the whole amount at once when you have it so you don't go over.

Yeah the next upgrade from Nookway is Nookingtons, great work!

They won't tell you until the next day that you have enough in the town fund. Pelly will tell you that they are building something the next morning - or, you will see a note on the Bulletin Board. Whatever you do donate after the dollar limit doesn't count toward the next item. Only after the town builds the item, does the pot start over.

I recommend keeping a log on top of the TV, or wherever, to keep your donations recorded. Especially if you have more than one player in your house.

Right this is what we plan on doing from here on out since you told us about that last time!! So then say tomorrow we go to donate and they don't say we have enough, would donating small amounts at a time be smart just so we dont go over by that much?
