Animal Crossing Issues...

:surfweb: - I must be insane - I'm actually getting up an hour early so I can play before going to work. I don't get a chance to play on the weekends - so I've permanently changed the internal clock on the Wii so I'm 3 days behind - that way I don't miss out on KK Slider and Joan's turnips.

The one good thing is that after dinner, I try to walk on my treadmill for 1 hour - I then reward myself if I do it with 1 hour of Animal Croosing game time.

And, BTW... this is all your fault PETE ;)

I try to do the same thing, 30 minutes of cardio and then I'll play for an hour. :cheer2:

I need to figure out how to do that too, although playing while standing up brings a new dimension - our flat screen is mounted high on the wall, so it's an arm workout for the remote to be held high enough to be seen!

I have a couple people added as friends now (Madi, you're one of 'em), that show up in my friendcode list with little white hearts. I figured that meant that the system had registered our info on both ends, but when I go to write a letter to someone, it still gives me no options to write one to 'out of town', so I can't figure out how to send any of my new DIS friends mail.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? :headache:

Have you been to their towns? I think that makes a difference.

We have to visit each other first.

Oh is that what it is? Phooey. I'm hardly ever on when anyone else is on.. :(

OMG! I have found my people!!!

DH bought me AC for Christmas and I can NOT step away from the Wii!! I'm so happy I found this thread - got lots of great tips, thanks. DH tried to get me hooked up on the wi-fi, but we're having trouble. He can't find the security code for our router. Any advice? :confused3

Well, I'm off to buy another shovel! :teeth:

My husband accessed the router through the computer. Speaking of which I need to have him do it again with my PSP. I am a video game addict.

You can access your WEP/WPA through your router. I'm not sure to tell you how to get there though. I went through Nintendo and it asked what brand of router I had.

Routers are all different, but many of them have WEP enabled and the default security code it on a sticker on the router. Some of them user a default user ID of admin and password of "password" but those are older ones. You can type in the IP of your router into the machine that in physically plugged into the router to access the setup options. Usually that IP is 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1

If you give me the details of the router make and model I might be able to help.

It's an old router... Westell Versalink Model 327W. I think my DH says the Wii is saying there's a firewall?? Yeah, we're not computer savvy in the least. :rolleyes1
Thanks for your help! :goodvibes

I got to visit Nancy last night - and she visited me!!! I tried to send you a letter Nancy, but couldn't do that.

gotta get Wii speak - it's frustrating not being able to talk!

but fun :lmao:

Okay, so I've been sucked into this crazy game. I got it on Monday and I swear I've played about 20 hours since then. Anyway, this is a totally newb question but how do you send gifts with your letters? I'm trying to get some foreign fruit (hubby has yet to fix the internet connection for me so I can't visit anyone else yet, darn him for interfering with my habit) and thought maybe one of my neighbors would send me some back. Thanks guys. So glad to have found a new way to waste my time.

You've got to have Wi-Fi to get letters and send letters. Then you have to be friends. Once you are friends and have visited each other, you can send letters to each other.

Even to my neighbors? I've sent them letters before but I thought you could send them gifts too and maybe get some things back? This stuff is friggin' confusing.:confused3

Sorry. Didn't read that closely enough. You will need to write the letter and be done with it. I can't remember if it then shows your letters with what is in your pockets or if you need to open your pockets and click on the letter. Once you click on the letter that shows up in you pocket, it shows all your letters you've written or received. You just drag the gift from your pocket to the letter you want it to go to. Hope that makes more sense.
