I got black tulips yesterday and this morning (yes I played for few minutes before going to work) I caught a Peacock Butterfly! It had been sitting on the black tulips. I was so excited!

I haven't been playing much lately, though. I was out of town last weekend and have been busy finishing up end of semester stuff (paper, stuff that people think is more important than AC).
Also, only you guys will understand the absurdity of this...DH has a few new code exchange people from the Facebook AC sight. One I call the AC sk@nk. I swear to you, she is flirtatious. She refers to him as "hon". I said I was going to log on as him and dig up her town. He always types stuff, though, like my "wife would like that lovely chair" as a reminder. Whatever!

Does anyone here use the auction house in the city? I must be missing something because I just don't get it. Once you've put your stuff up for auction, who bids on it? I thought it was just the people in your town, but that seems silly - just give it to them and tell them to give you the money. Why the auction house? So has anyone done anything more with this "feature"?

I got 2 surprises today. First, even though it was only day 13 of my perfect town, we got our gold watering cans today. I was surprised - I thought I'd have to do at least 3 more days. The kids were thrilled! I am now officially the "Best Mommy In The World" (at least until I tell them to go do their homework).

The second surprise was that I got a blue rose! I took a picture and I'll copy it over later today.

I am still waiting for mine. I'm not sure when I am supposed to get it, but I think it's this weekend. I sure hope so anyway!

Yes - I put the black and purple roses in a place that had been producing hybrids like crazy. It took a while, but eventually the blue rose appeared.

I know what you mean about the pressure finally being off. Now I feel like I can change and move some things around without causing any problems.

Thanks for the info on the blue rose, I'm going to try that. I only have one black rose at the moment, so it might take a while.

I haven't been moving anything! I am so glad I can move my flowers around now! I didn't think about "areas" that were producing hybrids, I was only thinking of flower combinations, so thanks for the heads up on that!

I love all of the Mario Items they are soooo cool! Nookway upgraded last night to Nookington's I'm not sure I like it it looks empty compared to the DS version where there was Shampoodle on the ground floor.
