Keri (bakers3)! I've had a momma cat, I think her name is Kaitlyn, in my town the last 2 nights and she thinks she lost her daughter in Seattle! I have no idea how to get them together! Anybody have any ideas?? I feel bad for the cats! :rotfl: I'm Jenny from Bellville by the way! :goodvibes

I think what you need to do is have Keri find Kaitlin and bring her to the front gate. You have to talk to one of those guys (not sure which one) and ask to travel back to the town. I think both of you will need to be playing at the same time. Once you get them together, one of you will get a prize from them.

Let us know if it works! :thumbsup2

The person from Seattle needs to come to your town. When they do, Kaitlyn's daughter Katie will follow them and be reunited with her mother. Then the person from Seattle will get a thank you letter and gift in the mail. Sadly, you won't - but you will get rid of Kaitlyn, at least.

Thanks for the info guys, that makes sense! So I guess Kaitlyn is just going to keep on showing up until her daughter gets to my town? I guess I need to keep my gate open! :goodvibes

Good thing you have the Mom and not her kid..LOL. The kid cries making you feel guilty ;) I have had them twice, and thankfully got her reunited with her Mom. If you do this, they will send you a gift in the mail the next day :)

Oh Jeeez....the pressure....THE PRESSURE!!!! :lmao:

Our internet has been down all day but is up now. NO idea when it will die again. Time Warner is coming tomorrow evening. I will run up right now and see if you happen to have your gate open!!

Well, shoot - guess I was too late and the cat is gone.
At least we know what to do next time and I got to take a little peek around Bellville which is a super nice town and better yet, got to meet Jenny which was a treat! :goodvibes Thanks again for the scallop Jenny - now that we have hoarded drawers full, Pascal won't come back to Seattle! :confused3

Keri

I've been meaning to come on here and say hello - unfortunately it's been crazy at work and I haven't had the chance (too many late nights at work - I'd rather be playing Wii!)

Anyway - here in Ditny (my town) we have no snow - yeah!! Kind of weird not seeing the snow though. One night this week Keri came to visit and then I went to visit her in Seattle. That was fun - but I told DH I definitely need to get Wii Speak. It's difficult to type and pay attention to what is going on around ya! :rotfl:

Keri - thanks for the fruit too. I've planted them and they are growing but so far no fruit. But hey at least they didn't die (especially since I have a brown thumb in the real world!)

As soon as you left, the mama cat came back!! It's crazy, I don't know what the problem is! :rotfl: So did you even have the baby cat in your town? Ok... so was our Wii Speak horrible? My husband was setting it up while you were in town and he had no idea if he did it right. You sound so clear when you speak, so I wanted to be sure you could actually hear me. I'm glad you were able to use my scallop! I don't really collect Pascal's furniture or anything, so I'm glad you could put it to use! We will have to try again with the cats... :rotfl:

You have to actually talk to the kitten and have her follow you to the town gate before you go to the town where her mother is, so if you didn't do that then that's why it didn't work. (They do get annoying after a while, don't they?!)

See, we never did see the kitten! Anyone know what it looks like?

Jenny - the only problem with your wiispeak last night was we were hearing ourselves echo and there was some really loud feedback. Maybe just a volume issue? I'll go look for that dang kitten again!!

Keri

OK. We are all home for the night and I am in my jammies, have a couple frozen pizzas ready to go in the oven and if that kitten is ANYWHERE in my town, then I am going to find her TONIGHT.

Yes folks, this is how I am spending my Friday night and sadly, I can't think of a better way to spend it. :rotfl: :sad2:

Thanks for the visit to Seattle! I have to get Wii Speak now. Though all you would have heard was my 2 year old (well, 3 next month) talking up a storm about the monkey, finding the kitty, and your Mickey flag. :rotfl2: She got so excited I'm having a hard time settling her down for sleep. I guess AC is moreof a day thing for her. :thumbsup2

So, I wonder if it's really worth the trouble to try and get a perfect town. I just spent almost an entire day laying out a grid pattern on our town, and now I'm in the process of tranferring the information to graph paper. I figure it will take me at least a half day more to finish mapping everything. One thing I have learned is that we have a lot fewer flowers than I thought we did. It sure seems like a lot of flowers when I'm running around with my watering can! :rotfl2: We also have four hybrids in our town -- I'm working really hard to keep the purple rose alive, since there are some insects that are only found around purple, blue or black flowers.

I'm sure the information will be useful once I'm done, but boy is there a lot of work involved!

Can you please share how you did that...mapped and gridded ;) the town. We were told before not enough and now we have to many shrubs in one area or something. We planted a TON of fruit trees along paths that we have and my son thinks its all of those. I think its all the mish mash that we have in the middle that you get lost walking through.

Me being me I want to do some serious tree chopping but afraid of messing it up and then replanting a bunch more of fruit trees that will at least get us bells. I won't let my son shake any fruit until I know where we want to plant it, yet I don't know where to plant it. :rotfl: Then we have become flower junkies...We buy all the flowers everyday and they are hiding out in our drawers until we figure out what to do with this town LOL!

HELP!!!:worried:

Ugh, I can't be bothered with all that tree layout stuff. I would love to have each fruit in it's own area, but right now my trees are all over the place. Guess my town will always rate a D. :rolleyes1

I tried the whole perfect town thing before. I cut down all the trees and tried to graph it all out. I went from not enough greenery, to too many trees, back to not enough greenery....Now I'm back to too many trees so I gave up!;)

I haven't read this one yet. Hope this will help all of us to getting at least a B grade or better yet an A! :thumbsup2

The link didn't work for me.

I've read a bunch of stuff about how to get a perfect town. They keep saying to clear an area that is 16 "acres" x 16 "acres". Anyone know what they mean by an acre? How do you measure it?

I've been able to grow 3 black roses. I've put them all in the same place hoping to attract the peacock butterfly. But still no butterfly. :confused3 Has anyone attracted one of these, and if so, any pointers?
