Animal Crossing-City Folk

Oooh, have fun in Disney! I think I'd rather be there than here in the snowy cold playing ACCF!;) You could always go forward in time to monday. It's not that far ahead, so it shouldn't cause too many problems in your town.

By the way, we had a dog move into our town today. I swear the darn thing is possessed! It has no eyes, just white circles.:scared: His name is Biscuit I forgot who's town he moved from, but if your Biscuit recently moved, he moved to our town.:upsidedow

Thanks! :flower3:

I did play for a few minutes this morning in between packing! One of my animals talked about "needing" to move. Said he probably couldn't avoid it, and he didn't really want to go... :sad1: I hope he is still here when we get back...

Have fun! We are walking out now!! Gotta go see Mickey! :lovestruc

Y'all have fun playing ACCF! I'm off to WDW for a week!! :woohoo: I'm going to miss playing though... I'll check in when I get back to see what everyone did while I was gone. I still don't know if I will get a windmill or lighthouse (I voted for a lighthouse), but I guess I'll see when I get back.

I'm going to miss the Pave' Festival on Tuesday and the flea market tomorrow... :guilty:

Have a great time! :goodvibes

We're still waiting on our lighthouse/windmill. After we got the fountain, I donated 500,000 bells all at once, thinking that would get it done. But after 2 weeks, still nothing. :confused3 I've donated about 300,000 more and we're still waiting. I guess you have to donate another 1,000,000 bells above and beyond the 500,000 for the fountain? Any insight?

We have about 115 non-native fruit trees, so we have a TON of fruit. Well, not RIGHT now, since I picked it all the other day. :guilty: Right now I'm focusing on cross-breeding the flowers. My town is in April and there is one butterfly that only appears on blue/violet/black flowers, so I'm trying to get one.

I am setting up for my flea market today too - wowza you have a ton of extra stuff, where have you been storing it??!! :lmao:

The Easter stuff sells for a lot at Tom Nooks - I am curious if it sells for as much at the flea markets? I've never tried.

I am looking for a retro frig that isn't green - is there such a thing? Is yours green?

I am selling some stuff too - basketball net, bowling ball return, a blue bathtub, reel to reel, globe, some furniture, etc. Also I have a bunch of extra walls and floor but can't get back on the Wii to check what they are right now. My living room is full of crap...er....I mean wonderful treasures  that I want to sell. It looks horrible!! I am very tempted to time travel to tomorrow and get it over with!

We should all try a random item swap/trash curb some day - drop a bunch of stuff we don't want around our gates or in our recycling boxes and people can travel around and pick through it for a day. I think it would be a lot of fun! :woohoo:

Wow. That is a lot of stuff.

Well I finally was able to get some fruit trees to grow, big thank you to Keri and Annika. We just got the Wii speak... that is going to add a whole new dimension to the game.

My fridge is the retro green.. My kids took over the wii from me tonight but if you want to pm me your info I can add you if ya wanna come shopping.. My info is in my siggie..

We also have wii speak. Its a blast. A few of my friends and I get on and we play its cool because our little kids can talk to one another while we play. We're even guilty of just having the wii speak on so we can chat instead of talking on the phone :lmao:

If anyone adds me please pm me. I cleaned out all my contacts and I only have in the ones that have already visited me or that I know will. (I ran out of room :lmao: )

Seriously, I wish people would come and take all our fruit - we have tons of trees and fruit on the ground even. We were selling it like mad until I discovered selling turnips. I got totally addicted to the stalk market. Now I have our house paid off, the bridge, the fountain, the windmill and about 4 million bells banked for a rainy day (or a great line of furniture at Gracie Grace!). I have lost my motivation to pick fruit. LOL! Every so often I pick up a few pockets full and sell it to tidy things up and I should really spend some more time doing that this weekend. But to keep my pocket full of spending money, I prefer fishing and rock hitting. You can get up to 8,100 bells a day from the rocks with the golden shovel.

Fossils and rare fish make lots of money but we make sure to see if the museum needs them before we sell them - it took us awhile to figure out to do that though so we still have some gaps in our collections. The art is especially hard to find!

Another thing to do is to clear your beach of all shells and sell them several times a day. Pretty soon you will get rarer shells. Save all the scallops (NOT the white ones, just the ones called "scallops") and you can trade them for stuff with a guy named pascal who shows up on your bridges every so often. We now get special dhells like conch shells and even pearl oysters that sell for 1,200 bells. It's not a huge money maker but it's super easy and really fun to see what washes back up onto your empty beach.

Keri

awesome! thanks for the tips! i will definitely carry a scallop and not a white scallop. no wonder he keeps diving and swimming away from me every time he sees me. 8,100 bells.. wow. i only have gotten 2,100 never more.

Buy an extra shovel from your Nooks and bury it (by your house is easiest). 24 hours later dig it up and it will be a golden shovel. Yu will get more money whenever you hit the rocks. You might already know this but make sure you dig holes around you (behind you as you face the rock) before you hit the rock so you don't hop back and miss some hits.

So yesterday I was playing AC and a couple times I saw these balloons floating around with presents attached to them. It was really weird and I was just wondering if anyone knew what that might have been about. :confused3 And I couldn't get them out of the air either. :confused3

But I have to say that I love this game! :thumbsup2 I finally figured out how to get to the city (I've only had the game for a week). I didn't realize you had to click on the bus stop sign to get the bus to come, I thought you just stood up there and waited for a bus.

Took me a while to figure it out too! You have to purchase a sling shot from nooks, then shoot them out of the air.

I'm forward to Monday during the festival trying to get the whole Pave' set. Does anyone know what the complete set consists of?

ahhhh... i have the gold shovel, but i don't dig holes. i will try it tomorrow. my problem is that after second hits, i end up digging a hole. i need to learn how to hit a rock without ending up digging a hole, this actually lessen my chance of getting more. thanks for your help. :)

woooohoooo! have fun! we'll see you when you get back.

There is a trick to hitting rocks, but it can be very time consuming. Dig a hole (x) too either side of you, with the rock (O) in front, then dig a third hole behind you. You are now "trapped" and can't go anywhere, thus allowing you to keep hitting the rock.

We get more money using the silver shovel to hit rocks than the golden shovel. My son got over $12,000 one day.

Use the slingshot to get the balloons. Once you have shot done 8 balloons, you will receive the golden slingshot which shoots 3 bullets at a time making it much easier to get balloons.

What's the Flea Market deal? In the DS game, when someone comes to your house they buy 3 things and you either leave or go in another room and come back and the visitor buys 3 more. On the Wii, I can barely get some characters to buy at all. Any tips?

Thank you! I have everything but the bookshelf. I actually have 4 couches, 3 beds, 2 closets, 2 chests, 2 bureaus, 1 table, 1 end table, 1 lamp, the wall and floor. If anyone gets the bookshelf and would like to trade let me know. I've been doing the festival for 3 days now, I think I'm done.:lmao:
