Our new town, now that my DD has destroyed our original Richtown, is StarCity. I'm hoping to be back online with my new Ginger character this weekend and am looking forward to playing again with other moms soon.

I'm still here! I'm not opening my gates as much as I used to, but I'm still checking in from time to time. Once you get your new info, send it on over. And be sure to let us all know what you need for the new town.

All our flowers are gone,weeds everywhere but we have snow so DS is happy !!

thanks again richtown for opening your gate to us! we have all sorts of fruit growing now, which is more fun than just cherries everywhere.

it was amazing seeing your town and hope you have fun setting up a new one. am curious, when you set up a new one, do you lose everything you did? does it literally start over like you just opened the game for the first time?

mtemm, glad the fruit trees grew - yes, rebuilding does make you lose everything, but we "moved" -- used my sister's town as storage for some of our favorite things - PM me if I haven't yet sent you my new StarCity friend code.

My daughter adapted Wendell's red carpet design so StarCity has a red carpet path going all over, in every direction - she did a great job! Slowly but surely we're starting to feel "at home" in our new town.

Does anybody else start resenting Tom Nook as much as a real landlord by the second or third week? Lol.

Alrighty.... we just finished with Halloween in our town. Both DD and I were able to get the complete Spooky series, and we were nice enough to throw our crumbs to the boys. Even with that, we still have a few extra pieces. Is anyone missing anything from this series? Let me know and I'll check to see if we have an extra one for you.

Just around the corner - Thanksgiving and the Harvest series! DD is very excited about this. She had the entire set and it was her favorite, but it got lost with the rest of the game so she's looking forward to gathering it up again.

Okay so Matt and I are on board to restart our game as it is just in bad shape due to us not being able to play because we have had contractors here at our house because of a leak before Christmas! But we have to find a town we could store stuff in and have a few questions.

Would we have to change our town and character names?

Also could we take our hybrids (hardly any left ( because we couldn't play) and furniture and can we take any $ in our banks so we could pay off our houses and make donations?

How long did it take to move everything?

How do you start a new game and can you keep doing it until you get the layout and gate you want?

Can you also see your neighbors too like the layout? We want to get our buddy Fang back ;o)

Sorry to ask so many questions. We just figured if we were going to have to rebuild may as well start all over and have the fun of fishing and bug catching again. Thanks!!!!

My daughter did our rebuild, and I did most of the moving.

For the rebuild, you do that when you go on, you say Other Things, I think. Takes about 5 minutes, we're guessing, and you tell it the town name and your name and answer your character questions. Once you get there, you see your gate, and you can open your map of course, which should show not just the layout but who lives there. Remember that you start with just a few neighbors, and more move in pretty quickly. My daughter rebuilt twice in a row to get the gate and layout she wanted.

The moving took FOREVER because we moved too many things, and because my sister's game kept crashing. Bells are key, of course, which you don't have to move back but can deposit into their ABD after you rebuild and get a friend code etc - so we put ours all around my sister's town hall. WORD OF WARNING: don't put bags of bells where the bug/fish guy or Pavé or whoever lands in front of town hall! (OOPS)

Since this thread is so quiet these days, I thought I would let you know that there is a very active Grownup Gamers forum at the animalcrossingcommunity.com web site. I've made some great new friends, other moms mostly, and I would encourage any parents in here who are actively playing ACCF to check it out.

The animal crossing community web site has some complicated things you can do to get information about your ACCF town and characters etc. entered so that others can see it, and ways to exchange friend codes and see when others are online. It took me a while to figure some of those out, and I haven't explored it all yet, but the bottom line is that I was able to find a great group of people to hang out with.

okay experts, what am I doing wrong? we just started playing this a month or so ago and are having a lot of fun. have caught all the fish available this month except for a tuna. why why why can we not catch a tuna? they come along very rarely, and when they do they eat the bait and take off no matter how quickly I try to yank them in.

any tips?

Greg is having incredible luck. He caught his 3rd coelacanth today and has a tuna waiting for the flea market. I caught the 1st coelacanth and donated it, but never caught a tuna ):

okay, need to ammend that we haven't caught a coelcanth yet, but only because its never snowing (or I suppose raining now) at the right time, or at least not when we are playing.

does he have any tips for catching the tuna? is it somehow different than other fish? it is seriously driving me batty!

finally! last night I finally caught the elusive tuna. woo-hooo!!!!

am looking forward to new fish and bugs tomorrow.

I have all the fish, but I need 2 bugs. I have all the fossils, and I think all the gyroids (stored in the coffee shop).

The 2 missing bugs are making me crazy! A Giant Petaltail, which I have never even SEEN. (not around now). And a bee. Which really just will involve me trying harder to catch the bee, and getting over the fear of bee stings. HA!

After you catch all the fish, you get a golden fishing rod, and that makes catching fish easier. Of course, once you catch all the fish, you may not even fish as often as before.

I still do not have all the art in the museum, but I have some doubles of "real" pictures that I would love to trade sometime.

I had a hard time catching the Giant Petaltail, too. I remember I found it late in the day, maybe around sunset, and it was in Summer. It just looked like a HUGE dragonfly so I knew what it was.

Lately all of our portraits have been counterfit. Our museum is really lacking in the picture department. My town is about to move into December and I hope to catch the last fish I need (stringfish) and the dung beetle.

I've got several extra pieces of Harvest series furniture as well as the Mushroom series. If anyone needs one of these, let me know.

Hi everyone! I am so glad to have found this thread! My son has been playing this game for awhile now and has been asking me for some time to find him some friends that he could visit.

If there is anyone here who might be willing to let my 5 year old DS visit (we supervise while he plays), please let me know! I'm not sure how the visiting thing works, so if someone could explain that to me as well, I'd SO appreciate it!!

I'm bored tonight and have caught most of the fish/bugs available for the month, and feel like finding something new, so was thinking about altering the month/time it is right now in my town. am wondering if there are any repurcussions for doing this. will I harm my town? can I go back to current real time after playing around tonight?
