Also welcome to the one with the bad haircut! LOL I felt your pain because I did the same thing, I was made with pink hair, I think I spent like 12,000 plus to get a decent cut. It took me forever to figure out what to say to not get some weird cut. I found this guide.

Yaaay.. a new day. So I went back to the city to get a new hairstyle. They are having a special today. Makeover for free.. choosing from Mii. So I chose myself. And viola!! I'm me! So I put on my hat, and guess what. My blonde pigtails came back!! I can't change back to Mii style. Now I have to wear the blonde color again!

I'm suppose to get a bigger house today. I paid my mortage yesterday in full.

Has anyone played hide and seek with the animals yet? I was wondering if I bought a timer, what it does for me??? When the animals ask me to play hide and seek, a timer comes up on my screen automatically.

I was playing that earlier.. I couldn't find them.. so I gave up and just went fishing. Then later one of the animal came up to me and said I took too long and next time to find them a little faster. There was a 15 minute timer.

If you have the patience to cruise the entire town real quick, they are usually hiding behind a tree or building, but their faces are peeking out. I did get gifts for finding all 3 of the animals I wonder if any of us have the same town lay-out. I will have to get some of your friend codes. If anyone wants mine, just send me a PM and let me know

I guess I was cruising a bit too fast and didn't check behind the trees or any buildings. I was holding my fishing net and everytime I gear near the water and see the fish, I get off track and start fishing. Then catching a fish, I would start looking for them again.

Hmmm.. I'm wondering also if we have the same or different lay-out. We don't have a code. We are not using the internet. And this is why we will never get to the other side of the "gate."

???... is the store (Nook's) will always have the same items to sell. I'm hoping he will have more varieties. Same for the catalog. I don't see anything new there. I already have things that is in the catalog.

The catalog is what you have previously purchased so that is why you see those things.

I read that the towns are not set up the same.

The only things in your catalog are things that you've already gotten. The catalog keeps a record of the things you have had so you can order more of them in the future. So if you are collecting the Blue furniture set, (and you are using WiFi, which I know you aren't right now) and your friend has the Blue bed but you don't, all you have to do is go to their town and pick up the bed and then drop it again. Then when you go back to your own town you can order yourself one from your catalog at Nook's. Or if you don't have room to keep everything you get, you can just sell it to Nook and buy another in the future if you decide you want it back.

There are a few things you can't order, though. You can't order the holiday things from Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. You also can't order a few of the special clothing items. It's always a good idea to check your catalog before you sell something to be sure you can buy another in the future. Some things are better to just hang on to if you think you'll ever want them again.

(If you don't have room to keep things in your house, remember you can attach things to letters and then store the letters at the Post Office until you want them again.)

Nook will get different things in each day, but he always has the same number of things. So if today you have Nookingtons and there are 7 flowers, there will still be 7 tomorrow but it is random as to which 7 are there. Same with the furniture, etc. Nookington's is the biggest store, and it has the largest number of things for sale every day.

The first time I saw Pascal I had no idea he wanted a scalop, so he got mad and jumped in the water and left! LOL!!! Then my ds informed me about him and I saved a scalop in my house, to give him the next time he came around
For the person looking for the sling-shot, check daily at Nook's. He will have one eventually. I somehow got the golden sling-shot and don't even remember how I did that. I also have the golden and silver shovels. Got the gold one from burying the regular shovel over night, and the silver I got at Resetti's in the city. That was luck!

Resettis is past the cones to the far right of your city, you only get in if you have "reset" the game more than a couple of times, and after 8pm, he gives you the shovel to get you out because you have discovered his hide out.

Am I missing anyone for friend codes? I think I have everyone on but I am just not sure

I have not felt great past couple of days so I havent been on much. I miss talking to people

My city doesn't have a Resetti's. At least I don't think so.

This game is really addicting! I don't want to miss anything.

You don't have to reset the game to see Ressetti in the city, though you do have to in order to see him in the town.

I lucked out and his house was open the first time I checked, even though I had never reset the game. My husband had to check every night for a couple of weeks before the cones were moved. My son still hasn't managed to see him even though he checks often. It appears to be random, though it does have to be after 8:00.

ETA - Nook's expands based on the amount you spend there. I don't remember how much you have to spend for each expansion, though. After you have spent enough he will close for a day and then reopen with a larger store. This version is a little weird, though, because even though we had spent enough after a few days it still took a week before he closed. I'm not sure but I suspect that you have to have each store for at least a week before he expands again.
