Angler Fish @ Nemo & Friends needs TLC

In the past few years it seemed that 9 out of 10 times when I'd get to the Angler Fish part it would be down.

However, I noticed in the past few of times I've been on the ride, it appears to be working, but I can see the robotic arm that controls the AA more so, than the Fish itself. I do not know whether the black light paint is worn down, or that they turned it down the black lighting. But I can barely see anything happening.

Also, isn't Marlin and Dory in the scene too, or used to be?

It is a lame ride, but there's no excuse for not having every element operating at optimum capacity. Firing on all cylinders is what sets Disney apart from the rest of the pack. Failing that, they'll just blend in with the pack. Hope they restore it to its original state soon.

The EE Yeti gives this comment two thumbs up!
That's also disappointing, but two things about Disco Betty: EE is still a terrific experience without the full AA effect of Betty, Nemo needs all the help it can get.
And while the Yeti should be fixed, it sounds as though there's a reasonable excuse for the delay in repair (having to disassemble a big chunk of the infrastructure to access the mechanical parts.) But I agree, Betty needs work.

It didn’t work for us in May or January which was kind of a bummer. Although, my daughter was thrilled because she’s terrified of it :)

It's interesting, I've had a handful of friends that have gone and not even noticed the Yeti. I suppose if he/she moved properly people would be better able to notice...

I noticed that when we were there last month -- it didn't move at all. The whole ride in general is fairly lame IMO (unfortunately) but having stuff clearly broken on it makes it worse.

This weekly maintenance report is quickly becoming one of my favorite weekly readings. It's frustrating to see the issues but cool to see what things, including some very small details, get fixed.

I'll have to look into the weekly maintenance report! Seems like an interesting read.

I still can't believe the Imagineers had done that and should have known better to not create an AA with such impossibilities to get into in order to due maintenance. Not only we know that AA needs it routinely, but on top of that, we all know that incredible new technology always tends to need adjustments, or needs to work out a few kinks before truly having it working in full operational order. 9 out 10 times something new, especially involving new technology, or something that breaks the limit of what it can previously do, always breaks down, or has intermittent issues and for them to create something that would literally be impossible to fix is a huge error on their part.

They're human, but I even have enough common sense to know that if you create something like that you should be able to create ways to get access to fix it.

Thanks for sharing this link! Have never seen that report before; very interesting read!

I so bad at noticing details. Or maybe bc last week was my first time there ever so I don’t know better. But I barely noticed any of those things!!!
