Good morning all... I keep getting side tracked here at work so this will be pathetic.

Donna, I felt the same way last night so I just kind of ran from here instead of posting...

 Merry... my mom's birthday was about 1.5 weeks ago... so I feel for you... never is easy

Lars, I wouldn't say wacko, but just "different" :yo-yo:

Marsha, my car has that same kind of light... last time mine went off was when I forgot to put the gas cap back on :o Fortunately the gas station still had it for me!!

Well I know I forgot stuff but like I said I keep getting distracted. Have a great day all!

Good Morning!

MP, Tia has finally figured out how to go "down" the steps on 3 legs but we still have to carry her back up and carry her outside and back inside. It's been quite a challenge.
 for you MP.
Btw, when are we going to get to see some of your scrapbook pages?:D

Lk, Did you guys have lunch yesterday??

E, Hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration! Sounds like some great gifts!

Sandy, Enjoy your weekend!! Sounds like a lot of fun!!!

ARe we really getting more snow here? (sigh)

I'm wondering what happened with Gail's washer, too. Did you get someone out to look at it yet? You can't go forever without doing the laundry, you know. :teeth:
That's a subject for the Debate board Melissa!!! :p

Lew mopped up 6 gallons of water yesterday morning but there was no clear source for the flood. We don't think it was the washer since we've since washed some clothes load with no problems. It may have been a combination of frozen ground and lots of rain that night. Since the ground couldn't absorb it it ran down the pipe that used to lead to our septic tank before we connected to city sewers.

Wish I had more time to catchup but I have to head to work. Not sure when I'll be back on.

Be well my friends! :grouphug:

Sandi, we had to postpone our lunch this week. Because of the icy conditions on Tuesday, SB went into work yesterday instead. We are now shooting for Wednesday the 18th.

Good morning everyone.:wave2:

I did not sleep well at all last night so I think I will be groggy as well as Grumpy today.

Survivor and ER tonight. I may have to take a nap.

PLEASE - no talk of who gets booted on Survivor tonight until I have the chance to watch my tape. I'll try to watch it before I get back on the boards tomorrow.

Did you hear they were supposed to have a boob shot on ER tonight, but NBC nixed it after all of the JJ controversy? I read that in my paper this morning. They were supposed to be examining an elderly patient when it happens.

I second the no Survivor talk until I get to watch my tape tomorrow morning, PLEASE.

There was a boob shot on Chicago Hope several years ago. And I believe they may have been one on ER already too. I know both shows have used the 's' word. On CH it was Mark Harmon during some sort of meeting. On ER it was during Mark's dying scenes when he fell out of the bed.
I have no clue why I remember these things.

Lou...you ask.......and I do my best to accommodate you:

now go fetch!

Thanks for all the hugs. I really wasn't depressed yesterday. More like nostalgic, I guess. For those of you who asked, I was almost a Valentine baby. My birthday is the 13th - on friday this year! :scared1: No really, I'm not superstitious.

Last night we found water coming out of our pantry door. The pantry is right next to the laundry room, so I thought of Gail. It turned out to be a leaky jug of water in the floor of the pantry. Whew!

I have to run Amy to school. I'll be back later.

Lot to catch up on.

Lou - I guess we have to watch when we post elsewhere!

E - sounded like you got some nice b'day gifts. and Chinese food is good any day!

Gail and MP - glad your water problems weren't serious. our garage will probably start getting water in it when all the snow and ice melt.

Decisions, decisions today. Where to go for lunch?:teeth:

Sandi, I've been thinking about adding some of my album pages to our website. I've just never gotten around to it. It'd be fun to share. :p Glad your baby is doing a little better.

The roads weren't bad. It's just not quite cold enough. I was glad. But I'm beginning to think that we may not get a good snow this winter. The kids will be sad if we don't get one sledding snow. :(

It's supposed to by 67 here today, but windy and rainy.

My MIL and her mother are with us for a few days. MIL is looking for a job down here; she's an LPN and had two interviews set up, but is also dropping off resumes at hospitals and nursing homes in the area.

Friends have given us a couch, loveseat, two end tables and a coffee table for our old house that they are going to move into. I'd like to leave as much of their stuff in North Alabama as possible.

Okay Alan, you lost me somewhere. What? They are giving you furniture that you'd prefer they'd leave behind? Or they are giving you furniture for your house that they are moving into? Are they moving in with you? I'm dreadfully lost. LOL!

LOL! And you actually cared enough to ask for clarification.

You are just humoring me, aren't you?

Here's the scoop:

Mrs. AA's mother and grandmother are going to move to Montgomery ASAP.

They will live in the house that we moved out of last Summer but did not sell or rent. (and the cost is KILLING me)

They currently live in a trailer that has a horrible odor which has permeated all of the furniture.

Friends of ours gave us their living room furniture to put in our old house for MIL and Granny (no, I don't call her that) to use when they move in so I can just torch their old stuff.

Said relatives are staying with us this week, however, while MIL drops off resumes.

Clear as mud?

Our relative move isn't nearly as lengthy as Gail's thankfully!

Good afternoon all.

Alan, I understood totally. But the big question (which is none of my business and you may tell me so) is, will mom pay rent? ANd another question which is more polite, are the girls excited about their grandmother being closer?

I took the car, they analyzed the problem. They said the computer was acting quite odd. It had 7 error codes, the first one was that the fuel pump was wide open, if it was, the car would have stopped running. The second code was regarding the automatic transmission. That was when the mechanic decide to see if there was an update for the computer. You see, my car has a manual transmission. There was an update, they ran it, the light went out, and they covered it under the 8/80 computer warranty. See, it pays to keep the miles down. They also said that if the light comes on again, they will replace the computer for free. But I would have to drop the car off for the day. I think that means they don't like when the customer comes in and waits.

The weather forecast is really nasty. I hope Pete gets home from work ok. Off to catch up on all the doings.
