It feels so good to be home and not have to go back out tonight. I got a huge pot of chili simmering on the stove and corn muffins in the oven.

Marsha, thanks for the idea. I think I will take some before and after photos! It will be a pretty dramatic change.

Gail, Congrats to Matt!! That is super!! My DS played baseball from the time he was 5, I really miss it.

MP, DH does want to start right away, but we need the weather to break here a little bit, it's freezing!

That amazes me too E....and I admit I enjoy watching the American Idol preliminary auditions because there are so many who are amazed that they cannot sing! I'm not a soloist so I'll never be trying out, but I can hold a part in a group.

It's cold here too Sandi. How are you feeling with your cough after working all day?

We all had something different for dinner.....and now I'm ready to crash for the evening. Lew came home with a cold so I'm sure he won't be awake long. THe kids & I will watch AI together.

E - I would never laugh at the way you sing since I can't carry a tune. My sorority, during Greek week, won the song competition 8 yrs. in a row! I can say I was part of that for 3 years (but thankfully sang in a group).

Carol, last time a waiter dropped a coke in my lap and lunch all I got was a new meal. Must be cause she's so cute. Sorry she got soggy.

I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but at least I have the sense to know it. I do love to sing, so I do it in the privacy of my own home.

The floor is beautiful, Steph. I'm jealous. I love the color you chose.

SB, glad the party went well. All this talk of food is making me hungry. Mexican lasagne, donuts, chili, and coconut shrimp. MMMMMmmmmmm. Sounds yummy. I may need to raid the kitchen.

I heard snow mentioned on the weather forcast. Probably means we won't get a thing. It usually comes when they don't predict it.

I'm hoping to catch up a little on the computer. With both kids home today, I've had no internet time. I finally kicked them off so I could get my fix.

Good Evening Angels, and our men.

It is a quiet night here, odd that Pete is not home, I think Max was looking for him earlier. I hope he doesn't keep me up all night wanting out, he is a little restless still. I bought him new blankets for the couch, so far he has slept on them for a few minutes. He is very picky about where he sleeps, he likes to have a pillow, ALWAYS, so I have made sure there is one for him. Who is better trained?

The queen sent 2 boxes of gifts for us, and they arrived today. She sent me a beautiful wool skirt, pair of pants, 3 sweaters, 2 pair of PJ pants with shirts, a pair of flannel PJ that have feets, a lap quilt and a really cute purse with Cupid Mickey on it. Perhaps I should rethink all the evil thoughts and words I have has for her..................... yeaaaaaaaaaaanope! She did really good this time, tho, one sweater had a dry cleaning tag on it, but she told me that it had been hers, but she only wore it twice and never liked it. It is royal purple chenile (sp), and I think it is very nice. Oh yeah, 3 pair of sox too. The Mickey bag is tooooooo cute. At least if she sends Mickey, I will always like it!

I had left over lasagna for dinner, it was prepackaged, I am not cooking from scratch here. It was ok, but coconut shrimp would have been better. Just too cold to go out to pick up anything.

Guess I will go read, I bought the 3rd Key book (Nora) and read it, it was as good as the first, I wasn't excited over the second, but this one wrapped up the story line well. Also got Debbie Macomber and Fern Michaels, so I will have something to do while I don't sleep tonight.

Max wants out again, see you all on the riddle tomorrow.

Carol - I'm surprised they only gave you Sarah's lunch for free, but it was nice that they at least did that. A few years ago at lunch, a waiter dropped a soft drink all over the back of one of my co-workers. She refused to go back to that place ever again!

The kids had off yesterday and they have a half day today. I can never understand that kind of scheduling. Leah only had three girls in her dance class last night. I wonder if people took advantage of the three day weekend for a mini-vacation?

It's been too cold for Leah to go out in the neighborhood selling cookies. Her last chance is this next weekend. We'll see how close she is to her next goal before we decide if and how far we want to walk. She will probably be close to 280-300 anyway, so she has done her share for the troop!

Lars - my kids do the same thing usually at night. it's funny how they have to go to the bathroom at the same time, and we have 2 bathrooms too!

Have to get ready for work now, I dread the thought of going out in this weather. I didn't leave the house at all yesterday.

Good morning everyone! Nice and cold with a little bit of ice out... that bed of mine was very tempting this morning!

Wow, Merry, I am shocked you didn't get more. Not too long ago, I ordered a turkey sandwich with just bacon and cheese on it (it has a bunch of other junk that I wasn't into) and I wound up with a bacon and cheese ONLY sandwich. No big, but when I told her that I wanted turkey, she started to almost argue with me when all she needed to say was "oops misunderstood you, I'll get you another" well the manager found out and gave me my lunch for free So I guess I think if a restaurant wants your business, accidents or not, they should try to do their best to make you happy

Marsha, sounds like you got some good stuff in that box!!!

A quick good morning my friends!

I'm mentoring a newly hired "peer" from the Westchester area today on the in's and out's of being a Teritorry Manager...mosty working on the analysis of our zazillion reports....how to impact products sales....and interpersonal effectiveness.....

I've no doubt the day will be satisfying, but it's assured to be a long one! You guys have a grat day and try to stay warm!!!

All this bathroom talk and we're having plumbing problems! We have only one and the toilet isn't working right now. Home repairs haven't worked and since it's been so cold most of the area plumbers are dealing with frozen pipes and no heat. (I can appreciate that but geeze....if ya gotta go then ya gotta go!) Last night we went next door but the neighbors aren't early risers so at 7 I took the kids to Stop & Shop to use the facilities there!!!
