Good! She deserves it after being nasty. People always want other people to give for them but never want to help in return and the only way to make your point is to do what you're doing, I think.We've got several families coming over tonight. We're cooking a spiral ham and everyone else is bringing things to go with it. I think we've got scalloped potatoes, green bean casserole and baked beans coming. I need to make a beer bread and dip as well as dip some strawberries in chocolate and hopefully make a batch of peanut butter kiss cookies. I haven't checked to make sure I've got all I need for those, though. I also want to make a spinach dip.

ITA about your coworker Donna - I'm feeling the same way about the cousins who turned nasty to us on Christmas. Payback time!

Tara - I want to come to your house, everything sounds great. Too bad it's already started snowing here. Hope your guests don't have to travel far.

BIL & SIL are supposed to come here for the evening but the worst weather is supposed to be during the afternoon & evening. By midnight it should be done. We'll see if they can make it.

Good Morning. I ended up calling off (guiltily) today. I was up sick most of the night. I just called in to talk to my boss and she made a nasty crack to me about watching the Pitt game from home today. I'm so not happy with her right now.

We did that back when she got her permit - and she also has a grade agreement with her grandpa who is giving her a car (his used one - he got a new truck recently).

Missy - sorry you had a LONG night. Hope Ted gets better soon.

Sounds like there are some nice NYE plans for everyone. We are doing a "mini" progressive dinner with several other couples. Heavy appetizers at one house & breakfast just after midnight at the house across the street. So nice of two of my best friends to live so close! The past several years this party has been a full four-course progressive dinner (appetizers, meal, dessert & breakfast - breakfast is a course, right? ), but we decided to simplify a bit this year.

Tomorrow I am driving Meg and a friend to Ft. Worth for a winter conference. The original plan was for her to drive, but she is not familiar with Ft. Worth at all - when I offered, she almost cheered.

She is staying for 5 days - and unless the other parents offer, I will be going back to get them on Monday. I guess it's a good thing Becca can drive herself to school now!

I'm Tonya. Hi again all!

I have two dd's - oldest is 20 & a student at OU (Boomer Sooner!!) and the youngest is a junior in high school.

I am mostly a stay-at-home mom (I need a new title - the kids are mostly gone), but I help out at dh's office a bit. A lot of volunteer work.

Obviously, I'm a Disney nut. We are DVC members & will be using our points for a trip to Disneyland in March. This is Megan's 21st b-day trip - her request! We haven't been to CA since 1991, so we are excited.

Off to clean house - Bec is having a few friends over tonight....Megan is chaperoning. They're good kids - mostly friends from church....it'll be okay, right?

Tonya. Nice to "meet" you. If you don't mind sharing a bit more, where do you live that it is a reasonable drive to Ft Worth. I gre up in Dallas and I am currently watching my beloved AF Falcons get the butt's kicked in Ft Worth!

By the way, I am Jessica, and I also have 2 DDs, just a bit younger than your though: 10 and 7! And we will be a DL shortly after you it appears. My DDs are performing in DL on Apr 4!

That's where we are staying! I splurged since we had some banked points to use up & reserved a one-bedroom suite. That will give us a bit more space & a place for the girls to have their cousins come hang out.

We live in Edmond, OK. It is a bit over 3 hours - dd is attending a Campus Crusade for Christ conference at a hotel in Sundance Square. She really hasn't driven out of state - & she could manage with her GPS, but she was a bit nervous about being one of a few with cars down there - she didn't want to spend the whole time chauffering other kids around. With the parking fees & all the other considerations, we just decided that I would drive her & one of her friends down. It will give dd16 and I an excuse to stay over an extra day (at a different hotel) & do some sale shopping. If the other girls parents don't offer to bring them back home, I will go back on Monday - giving me an excuse to hit First Monday at the Market Center (I have a small retail business).

Your girls are performing at DL? Wow! What are they doing? DD16 is a singer and would love to do the CP some day.
