Doesn't it? Poor kid only has one piece of music left. She's having to share with other flutes. Guess I'd better go get her a new notebook and have her start over next week. The lyre can wait a few more weeks. She won't need it until the game where they go out on the field with the high school band. Maybe it will still turn up.

She is broken-hearted.

Same thing happened to Matthew in the 7th grade except his was w/ his trumpet also!.......we had to go rent a new one at the local music store......it was gone for about 4 months........suddenly turned up......we're still not sure what happened

Missy, that is awful about Amy's music and lyre! The funny thing is, I might just have one left over from my days in marching band. Didn't use it much because it was more of a pain on the flute than it was worth... memorized a LOT of music those days. I do hope it turns up though... I know I was totally heartbroken when someone borrowed my music I had collected and then "lost" some pieces before returning. Couldn't imagine losing it all and have it just taken

Lars, that is even worse taking his trumpet!!!! Such a shame that people do that!!! Although now I know why I had a lock on my locker in the band room!

Boring day here so far... contemplating taking off tomorrow or taking off early. Hopefully today will allow for that.

MP, that stinks about the music. I know Andrew has an entire library of trumpet music. One of last years seniors gave all of his music to Andrew. He would be crushed if it came up missing.

Good morning

lots of little things to do today. I have some scrapbook swaps to package and mail and a couple things I sold on ebay need to be packed and mailed. So I will be going to the post office, bank, grocery store, and hopefully the book store. If I get home in time I want to start something in the crockpot, but I have a feeling I wont have enough time.

Sam has off school tomorrow, so he will be joining me at the Scrapbook Expo. Having him there should prevent me from staying too long and spending too much, LOL. I just hope he doesnt start whining the minute we walk in.

Tonight is open house at my son's school - i finally get to meet his teacher. He is so excited about it and he told me that the teacher has told the kids that they all have to introduce their parents to her and introduce her to their parents.
