We went into downtown Brighton for the Art Festival..............lots of walking in lots of sun....spent 30.00 on hot dogs & pop kinda like eating lunch at WDW

lars- that's what I had last time I was at OG and it was YUM!

MP-I'm on my wireless laptop in my family room also (starting to see a trend) lol congrats MP....went and bought my OU tshirt today and hat, ready for the first game! We went to Billys Simms new BBQ resturant for lunch and it put me in a buying mood! lol

I am enjoying wireless. I'll like it even more when I can sit on the couch or recliner with the laptop. Hopefully he'll get that arranged today.

Things are finally getting squared away with the new computer. Allen has fixed the problem we were having, so now we're loading all the games and stuff back into the computer. I hate that job.

Allen is in the kitchen making fire and ice salsa with watermelon. I can't decide if that sounds good or just weird. LOL! I'll have to let you know after I taste it.

I've done 3 layouts for the Scout scrapbook today and I planned a bunch more. Hopefully they'll go together fast. It doesn't help that I was not there when many of the photos were taken. That makes it hard to get into the journaling.

Sounds like Sarah is having fun at the beach. When in doubt, it's always better to tell your parents after the fact. Hopefully, my kids won't read that.

Carol, our VBS kids have been putting on a skit for us each week. They have been really cute. The little ones are so funny sometimes.

It's still rainy. What is the deal? We never get rain in August! I think we're going to need to build an ark!

Star, Billy was at OU at the same time I was. I got to dance with him once. I'll always remember it.

Jack decided to open the box of Sarah's computer for college. The monitor is the number that we ordered but not what we thought we were ordering. So, have to call Dell and try to return this one and get what we know we wanted originally. We need to get the flat monitor because of the small dorm rooms. The one we got said flat but just the screen is flat, it is really big. The picture was of the thin flat screen. Kind of deceptive I think. I am glad he opened it and we found out now and not later.

Good catch on the computer Carol, hope it's easy to resolve with Dell.

Today is cool and overcast.....the rain is finished but we sure had lots overnight. They dodged a bullet at the wedding yesterday as it rained on both Friday and Saturday nightsw but they had a stretch of nice, warm weather in the afternoon and evening. THe location was lovely, right on the water with a beautiful view of the Newport Bridge. It was even more beautiful when lit up at night

I have a chuckle to share. Some of our good friends live close by and have 2 sons who are a bit younger than our varmints. We've always been listed as an emergency contact at school, camp, etc. for their kids and they have been for ours. We're also the ones who get called if their house alarm goes off. On Friday we had a phone message from Arnie saying they were going camping for the weekend and where we could find them if necessary. He then mentioned that Ginger (their cocker spaniel) was at the vet's and we were on HER emergency contact list too!!!! I have to admit, that's a first for me!!!!

Do I really have to go to work tomorrow? E - will you write a note for me??

Lazy evening here. Just did the lazy way of cooking dinner (ordering pizza to be delivered online )

Gerri, the only joy I get out of someone calling me from WDW is that I can have the joy of calling them back when I go next Okay not really... actually I always enjoy hearing good background noise.

Speaking of WDW, I still am having no luck getting a rental car for Dec. The best I have is $140/week. I suppose I'll keep checking and see what Luis feels like doing.

LOL, Missy... I'm in a chaise lounger at the moment... loving it myself! I kind of like laying on my stomach on my bed though while surfing... quite cozy for me

Carol, good luck with the monitor. I hoep you are able to get what you need quickly

MP- so jealous, quick story the DH and DS go to the mall to get me a ball signed by Billy last christmas. The assistant to Billy was chatting up the line while they waited and he asked my son if he knew who the man signing the balls was. G said "no, and why is he wearing Kejuan Jones' jersey!!??

I have a friend who works with Kejuan's aunt she told him the story and he got a kick out of it and sent G an autograph.

I almost came down for the scrimage today but the weather chased me off...I'm so ready for Sept 4th to get here!!

Carol - glad to hear Sarah is having a good time at OC. did they have any affects of the storm?

E - we usually go to the OG only on weekends and we try to get there around 4:45 to beat the dinner rush. we hardly ever have a wait.

Watching the Olympics now. Those kids amaze me.
Both kids have dentist appts. tomorrow. Hopefully no cavaties for either.
