I just found a Disney font on the net, and downloaded it for my scrapping!

LK, someone shared a whole bunch of Disney fonts with me on the scrapbooking board. If they didn't get lost in the computer fire I'd be glad to share them with you, too. I'll try to remember to ask Allen to find them for me. I've never used them, but I keep thinking I'd like to use the computer to do some of my journaling.

Haven't heard back from the chemistry teacher. I guess maybe she's waiting to talk to David in class. She better come through or I'm on my way to the office! I'm pretty peeved about this!

I want to see The Untouchables, but we don't have Disney Visa. Guess I'll have to read your reviews and wait to see it with everyone else.

Lou, you have met lots of interesting people. I like to meet entertainers. I find that many of the are quite down to earth, but others are SO full of themselves. Shirley Jones was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She was just like the person next door. On the other hand Doc Severinsen, the old band leader from The Tonight Show, looked like he was expecting me to rob him. I guess I look threatening, and I wasn't even wearing the angel uniform at the time.

I'm trying to decide if I want to go up to the university tonight and attend the pep rally for tomorrow's game. Guess it may depend on whether or not I'm actually going to the game.

Ummmm, isn;t it the Incredibles? I saw a preview for the Incredibles at Nemo, it sure has taken a long time to get it released.

Just dropped Kaitlin off at school.....strept test was negative....they think it is just allergies. Loaded her up with lots of allergy meds and said: OK to go back! Wooo hooo!

MP: let us know if you need angels in uniform for backup!

Glad the Kaitlin got good news. Hope her allergies are better soon. My kiddos are suffering right now as well.

Because of our new thread title, I have to tell you a Scout story from last weekend. One group of boys and their leader decided to go on a hike to the bat cave in the Wichita Wildlife Refuge. It's safe to tour and they had instructions. It had rained the night before the hike and the cave was flooded. Now, they knew that sometimes it floods and that it wouldn't be too deep, so they went ahead with the plan. They ended up wading in chest deep water before it was over. And those of you familiar with bats know that guano is thick on the floor of bat caves. So you can imagine what that water was like. Ewwwww! I'm so glad that my guys were smart enough to bypass that experience. I'd have had to throw away their clothes. Bet there were some thrilled moms at the conclusion of that campout.

Just checking in real quick. I've been watching the hurricane because my best friend is flying to Pensacola tonight! She did sub plans today just in case she can't get back home. I also checked to make sure her sister could still get out of Tampa. Again I told her they would probably all be able to get to Pensacola but may get cancelled coming home!

I am currently waiting to hear news on my grandma. Apparently she has taken a turn for the worse today. The nurse just arrived a short time ago so I have to wait until she is assessed before we will know anything.
I guess I better try to get some things cleaned up and put away. Later

Carolyn, your grandmother continues to be in my prayers. In my grandmother's last days she also saw angels or whatever you want to call them. Once my deceased father and grandfather came to see her. They told her they'd be back for her in a few days when her new house was finished. I guess they did.

Looks like they are going to have to close Disney again. This one is coming too close to some of the people who received damage with the last storm.

I'm getting ghostly phone calls. The phone in the bedroom keeps ringing every few minutes. No one is there and the rest of the phones in the house are quiet. Weird huh?

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend. The kids will be home from school soon, and Lenny is getting out of work early. We should be on the road by 4 or 4:30, I hope.

Yay - I did my first two scrapbook pages! Many thanks to Donna and Sue for helping me out. It was a lot of fun.

Very frustrated now...second attempt to post this...

They have reconfigured our firewall at work, and the DIS is categorically blocked due to the fact it contains discussion forums.

Fortunately, a good friend advised me to attempt to connect with the IP address instead of the disboards designation. Obviously, that worked.

Hopefully, all will continue as normal with me, but since they are cracking down so hard on this, if someone says anything to me about being at the DIS, I may very well have to discontinue.

If that is the case, I will still be able to connect from home to at least let y'all know. However, since my connection at home is dial-up and I am not online unless the family is asleep I will not be DISing much.

Again, unless I am specifically ordered, I will continue to DIS during the day, but the future would appear to be uncertain. I just wanted to vent about it for a sec, thanks.

I do hope y'all have a great and safe Labor Day weekend. See y'all Tuesday.

First of All~Lou~you are now officially my idol!!! You have met Rick Springfield I saw him in concert many times....had posters on my wall......never had a bigger crush on any celebrity in my life!!! When I see him on TV I still feel my heart pitter patter & I feel just like a teenager again~~And you have seen him in person

We just switched from dial-up AOL to cable internet & it's actually cheaper than the dial-up AOL was. I had no idea that cable internet had come down so much in price.
