Good Morning....less than 12 hours 'til Survivor...WHOOOHOOO. And now that Im not working on Friday nights I can actually watch it with the rest of the country.

Star, those pics deserve to be scrapped. They are gorgeous. I can just see the collection of window pics...you could title it 'Magical Views'

Sam had a scout meeting last night. This one was the full pack meeting and he did really well. I was really expecting all the new Tigers to get bored since they dont know what everything was about. They all caught on right away to the silence signal (I wonder if i can use it at home), they all quickly learned the Salute and used it for the flag ceremony, and they mostly sat quietly and listened to all the proceedings.
Next week will be our first den meeting, the Tiger leader already has eyes on me to sign up as a leader....I am so weak, I am half considering saying yes.

I think I am going back to bed after Sam gets on the bus. This stupid cold has settled into a cough that kept me up most of the night. Im sure Lou is tired today too if he had to listen to me cough all night.

YAY!! for Survivor tonight. Andrew has to be picked up from band at 8 so we will have to record and watch.

AAAHHHHHHH!!!! Problems with Band Boosters. Too long and involved to go into right now. One mom has successfully divided the rest of the parents. I have already quit my position. It makes me sick to my stomach to see what is happening. I feel bad that I can't help as much for Andrew.

Off to do something to get my mind off this.

Hi y'all! I just got a call from Alan. They are currently without power (lost it just about 30 minutes ago or so) but they are doing fine. He heard from his parents and there is a lot of debris in their yard, and one of their trees fell across the driveway, but other than that (and 2 wooden doors on their "workshop" that blew off) they seemed to fair pretty well. Alan is supposed to see the worst of the storm around lunchtime/early afternoon, but they seem hopeful that it won't be too bad.

But he wanted me to tell y'all that he says hi! He said he'll check in via phone or internet (depending on if he has power) this evening after the worst of the storm blows through.

Thanks for the update, E. Sounds like things are going well enough for the AAs.

Carol, that stinks. Hope things get better.

Bethany, Allen and I have been Scout leaders since Wolf. If you decide to take the plunge, we'd be glad to help. It's a lot of fun. I strongly suggest you go to Pow-wow if your council has one. Ours lasts all day on a Saturday, and they give you so many wonderful ideas! They even send you home with an huge idea book. I gave all of my idea books away when we moved up into Boy Scouts, but they are quite helpful.

This time of year I get to see very little on tv. Seems the guys can find baseball and football almost every night. I don't follow Survivor or The Benefactor. Just as well, we have a patrol meeting tonight and Amy's 8th grade band is playing for their football game. Decisions, decisions. I'm not sure whether to go take photos of the band or go help out with Scouts. I may divide my time between the two.

So far I have ripped out all of my old scraggly summer flowers, planted all of my fall mums, weeded, pruned my trees, had to prune my roses all the way down because something is eating them... ......and now I have to go down the basement and get out my scarecrow and stuff like that........I guess I am in fall mode right now. (even though it is sunny and 77 right now) I figured I would get it all done before the rain comes tonight and all weekend long!

Bethany...just signed Kevin up last week for boy scouts and I already have my NO all ready for when they ask us to help...lol.
( I cant handle girl scout leader and boy scout leader too!! )

Hi Lorraine!!

I went to the mall during lunch (mostly to get Chick Fil A) and when I was at the mall, I saw these really nice looking black knee high boots on sale... I was so close to buying them too. However, I am not sure I'd get much use out of them, but I do love them... I hate making decsions like that
