We're currently in week 3 of school.....at no time prior to tonight did my husband mention that he thought it was inappropriate for the boys to wear shorts to school.....apparently tonight it's now an issue....

My argument is if they look presentable, and they are comfortable in shorts, fine. His argument is that shorts are not appropriate for school.

men.

Sam has worn shorts every day so far, except maybe once when it was on the cool side. And when shorts weather ends, he will most likely be in sweat pants every day.
I agree with you....if they look presentable and comfortable that is all that matters. I couldnt imagine dressing him up just tohave him come home messy and sweaty from the day's activities.

Star ~ Welcome back and thanks for the Birthday Wishes!

Melissa ~ No advice from here except  . My mom and MIL don't listen either. Apparently, it is very common. I always find it ironic that parents are guilty of what they always blamed their kids for.....not listening! Oh and BTW, the thought of anyone's parent "jumping into bed" makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up! So please, watch your phraseology! :p

Some day you'll have to ask Gerri about her mom's "friend". She's 81 and Gerri's dad died 12 years ago so she has had a "friend" the last few years. I think they just hold each other up but the point is everytime she says her "friend" I

Hey Steph, I agree with you this time. Tell Neil he's on his own. This is grade school in the year 2004, not the Police Academy. Well since he's packing, you don't have to actually tell him I said it, just tell him. I went to Catholic grade school and Military HS and always had to wear a uniform of some kind so I am rebelling through your kids!

Oh great Lou....I can't say "military academy" in the same room as him without him getting all warm and fuzzy.....

:rotfl:

I KNEW I was right......fortunately for Patrick, he's on the bus before Dad gets out of bed...and AJ gets dressed AFTER Neil leaves....:rotfl:

That makes it sound like two separate men leaving in the morning, doesn't it???

:rotfl:

Actually, that's where they came from! Trashy Lingerie, Hollywood, CA. Maybe not Rodeo Drive, but close enough.

I may have to rethink it. The Disney catalog came today with the Incredibles costumes. Mrs. I is wearing Thigh High Black boots. IT is a rather risque look for Disney?????????

On a more serious note - Missy I know just where you're coming from, although I can't offer much practical advice. Both of my IL's have medical problems and both refuse to do what they should to manage them.

One more vote for the blue one.

Some of the artists from the 60's are re-releasing their hits with new lyrics to accommodate us Baby Boomers... good news, for those feeling a little older and missing those great old tunes...

Herman's Hermits - "Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Walker"

Bobby Darin - "Splish, Splash, I Was Havin' A Flash"

The Temptations - "Papa's Got A Kidney Stone"

Marvin Gaye - "I Heard It through the Grape Nuts"

Procol Harem - "A Whiter Shade of Hair"

Johnny Nash - "I Can't See Clearly Now"

Paul Simon - "Fifty Ways to Lose Your Liver"

Leo Sayer - "You Make Me Feel like Napping"

ABBA - "Denture Queen"

Roberta Flack - "The First Time Ever I Forgot Your Face"

Commodores - "Once, Twice, Three Times to the Bathroom"

The Bee Gees - "How Can You Mend a Broken Hip"

Ringo Starr - "I Get By With A Little Help from Depends"

Rolling Stones - "You Can't Always Pee When You Want"

Great job Mike, especially the cut from the Stones!!!! :p

Gail, who are those people?

One of Aaron Spelling's many series...this one even included daughter Tori.
