Good morning all... kind of quiet this morning... although a friend of mine did invite me to his place this weekend for a cookout. I might go so I'll have something to do
Safe travels to all this weekend who are going somewhere and I hope you all have a great holiday
Good morning! Nice and peaceful here today. The kids are at the cottage with Grandma and Pap until Tuesday. We got a load of mulch delivered yesterday and spent most of last evening spreading it out every where. Lenny ordered way too much!
Tonight, Donna and I are taking Sue out to dinner and a movie. I think we are going to see The Notebook. They've both read the book but I haven't. I hear we need to bring a lot of tissues.

That's okay Bethany...my ideas of Chicago come from Good Times and Kolchak: The Night Stalker (I've been watching reruns of that this week )
I've never dropped a firecracker in a garbage can though one might have been placed in a fire ant mound or two.
We did use garbage can lids once when I was a teen, but that's only because we were standing far apart and firing bottle rockets horizontally at each other
Come to think of it, my brother and a friend used to fire bottle rockets at each other on the Interstate on their way to work (It was usually prior to 5AM so not much traffic) They also played tag by bumping their junkers into each other.
Did I mention that Dukes of Hazzard is actaully a documentary of life around here?
Now who wants Uncle Al to babysit their children and mold those impressionable young minds?

I now am the proud owner of a big hole in my back yard! DH and his brother and a friend dug it out yesterday, and just got done lugging all the dirt away. Now, we just need the pool put up and it will be complete. What a mess though. My nice grass (that i pay to take care of) is all torn up.
Went to my GF's house last night and watched "Cold Mountain". I really liked it, but my friend didn't.
Have fun tonight Cranberries, we will be at the Riverhounds game.
Well I'm all packed up ready to head for Rockport .....

What songs did he sing? I was just listening to him in the car while I went for lunch. I had just heard the duet he sings with Kimberly Locke... such a beautiful song (stuck in my head now though)
