Apparently my post got lost in the Scottish translation.

This could take a frightening turn.....

I'm home......the right side of my mouth is numb but I have my new crown! Anybody making something soft I can eat for dinner? :(

Sorry your zoo isn't all that grand... come to Ohio and visit ours. We have Jack Hanna running ours and it's pretty cool. I seriously wish I didn't have work getting in my way of quality zoo time though

A couple years ago Lou, Sam and I took a road trip to Cincinnati and Columbus Zoos. We loved it, and had a great trip. We are thinking about St Louis Zoo this summer.
On one vacation to Texas we ended up at 4 different zoo / animal parks. Dallas, Fort Worth, and some sill drive trhough safari think in Oklahoma.
I love, love, love going to zoos.

We wondered where you were Princess...

As for soft foods, I understand there will be a jello wrestling fund raiser for the Loubon Zoo tonight. Maybe you can get there early and get some before they prepare the ring.

(I do hope you feel better) ;)

There's another one that I was thinking of but that will definitely do!!!! I swear I am allergic to work now... came home with a headache, stuffy, and itchy eyes... and it's only Tuesday

Cami :rotfl:
Nice one there ;)

Hi Mike :wave2:

Gail  I hope your mouth is feeling better soon

Oh how cool Bethany!!! I love zoos as well! I admit I went to the one in Indy once and it was so disappointing. It made me appreciate my zoo here so much more.

Off to find dinner or something... that and play some wtih my hair :)

OMG!! Like my DH doesn't already work enough hours........he called & told me that the powers that be have 'asked' him if he could start working 12 hour days instead of 10:eek:
That poor man is gonna die young from working too much.:(

Gail - We are having Crab Cakes and grilled asparagus and you are certainly welcome to some but they are probably not as good as the ones you are used to getting where you live. ;)

We're having chicken breasts, red skin potatoes & a green salad.......you can have whatever you want Gail!:D

Awww.....thanks everyone! I made pasta.

Brian - crab cakes are not a local specialty. I love them but have to get them in MD or on the NJ Shore. Hmmm......maybe Lou could send me some? ::yes::

Yikes Laura, how many 12-hour days are they asking for? I know our wonderful nurses can work that long a shift, but it's usually not for many days in a week.

Right now they're not saying.......indefinate................:(

We had cheeseburgers and fries. I could have cut it up into really small pieces for you!

I was so busy putting sun block on our Girl Scout troop yesterday that I forgot to put any on myself. I now have a lovely lobster color on my legs, arms, and nose. :o I'll remember to use sun block tomorrow!

Good evening everyone.

I have missed you all. Been busy and had over 10 pages to catch up on. Let me try to recap what I remember.

This place has turned into a zoo which everyone likes to visit.

Some people would rather be Ya Ya's.

Gail is having jello shots for dinner.

Sandy's govenor had to resign.

Donna has taught us not to answer the phone if MIL is calling.

Alan had a spider encounter and Lou countered with rats the size of dogs.

Everyone is taking a road trip to the ocean in NJ and new England. (Isn't NH a part of New England?) I want to come too. And after that a trip to OK is planned.

Elaine is getting headaches from work.

Lars's DH is working himself into an early grave. (I hope not!)

Acronym's are fun.

Cami says HI!

LK is becoming a lobster.

Sorry if I forgot anyone. It might be better not to be mentioned.

 Y'all.

Gail I am glad you found dinner that you could eat... I just munched on left overs here

I have to admit before I go on, I can't believe how bad of a mood I am in over my stupid hair. All because Dawn said she wanted it up and not down. I'm trying to be as nice as I can about it,b ut I am about to say screw her. My hair is going to be down and she can just deal with it. I'm "blessed" with this above average amount of very silky hair that will NOT stay up on it's own. I've gotten away with it in the past by doing a bunch of braids and weaving them around. It looks great but with my "short" hair that style is out the window. This is so not like me, but I am half sick over this hair thing. Even a ponytail looks stupid to me. I just give up :(

Sorry about that but for some reason it is bugging the living day lights out of me. She has this thing where she wants it all to be "perfect" and it just isn't happening.

meh... going to crawl under a rock now...

E, have you tried talking about your new haircut? That with the new style, up just won't look "perfect"? I'd tell her that I'd spend tons of time trying it this way and that and it just isn't working. Maybe you could go with a half up and half down look? Have you considered asking your hairdresser for ideas?

Wish I was there. I'd try to help you come up with a look. I'm pretty good at putting Amy's hair up for ballet and she's got several lengths of the most fly-away hair you could imagine. We use lots and lots of hairspray. In fact, I once took down her hair after a performance and it stayed up on it's own without the pins.

We have a nice zoo in Oklahoma City. When I was a child, it was pretty poor. Anymore the landscaping is lovely and the exhibits are more animal friendly. In a few years when they add the bear exhibits back it should rank up there with many area zoos. I love to spend the day wandering through a zoo. We often check out a zoo when we travel. The one in Omaha is great! And I've been to Star's Tulsa zoo with my brother and his family. Do they still have polar bears? We don't and I love them.

Gail, glad you found something for dinner. Amy and I had Sonic hamburgers. On Tuesday nights they are half price. The guys are playing a game of golf with Scouts tonight, so we were on our own. I took her back to see Harry Potter again. And I fell asleep in the movie. Amy says I let out a big snore, so she elbowed me to wake me up. :o What can I say? I just saw the danged movie Friday night.

 All.......

I actually had a nice day with my kids and MIL today...we ended up going to see Shrek 2 again with her which was even funnier because she has this big booming laugh that cracks us up even harder!

Then we went shopping and had dinner.
Hit great sales at the Disney store!
All kids tanks were $3.99 and mine were $4.99 so we bought lots!::yes:: Also got regular tees and some shorts for Kaitlin.

And the good news!:Pinkbounc I was able to talk my MIL into the 6 day hopper pass and a 5 day hopper for my FIL. ....she had wanted to get the 4 day hopper for an 8 night/9 day trip..... .....so now she is set with her tickets and she will STOP asking me about them!! WooooHOOOOOO!

hope everyone had a good day...I am off to catch up!

I think I might call it quits online early tonight. Thanks though, Merry. She'll just have to live with whatever I wind up doing that day. Even hairspray doesn't hold my hair well at all. At longer lengths I can actually deal with it easier, but some of it is shoulder length and well... never mind.

I know part of this is just Dawn's stress rubbing off over to mine and some of it is the huge amount of anxiety I have right now with reading at her wedding... why she picked me, I'll never know... miss dyslexic stutterer... blech

And since my mood has been spirling downwards since about 3 PM, I'll bid you all a good night. I'll see y'all sometime later.

Great recap Carol!!!!! ::yes::

Wish I could help with hair ideas E but mine is short and usually looks like a mushroom on my head. Not exactly the look you'd want for a wedding! :p Talk to your hairstylist, I'm sure you can work something out.

We have a great zoo here in RI too. After we take our trip to the beach we can check it out too!
Roger Williams Park Zoo

Thanks for all the dinner offers. My mouth is now fine and I tested it by "speaking loudly" to my DS!!!!
