Amy started summer ballet today. She picked a horrible day to begin. I had no car due to a flat tire. (I want to note here that I DIDN'T drive on the 3 good tires! Sorry Lou. ) So I had to drive David's car, which has so-so air conditioning. It's hot in Oklahoma today. I mean HOT! Did I mention it was hot? Poor Amy came out of class with her hair plastered down to her head. They didn't have on the air conditioning. Just open windows.

So I'll have my car back tomorrow afternoon after they repair the tire. I think I'll try to stick around at home.

You guys are too silly today.

Loved the recipe, Sandi. I missed what the other recipe was, but I bet I want it.

I'm currently cooking dinner. We're having Mexican pasta. Personally, I want ice cream because it's hot. I better go sit in front of a fan. I'm repeating myself.

Storms just passed through a little while ago. Luckily, my kids aren't scared of them. The neighbors kids are terrified and run into their parents room at night. There is NO way I would let them do that.

I got coupons in the mail last week to check out the new casino in Niagra Fals (Canadian side). It had to be used this week. Lost a little $$ toady including the gaming coupon. The new casino is overlooking the Canadian falls. New casino seems larger as it is all on one floor. They paln to keep both open.

Thanks for the scoop on the new casino Mike. We've been to the one where Maple Leaf Village used to be and wondered if they'd keep both open.

Matt's team lost by 1 run tonight so they must win on Wednesday to continue in the playoffs.

Lew said there were nasty storms for the folks in Pittsburgh and also in Carol's area in Maryland. Glad to hear from you Lorraine, hope everyone else made out OK.

We had some good thunder and lightning tonight. Not much rain though. The dogs are terrified of storms. They come in and wake us up at night if it storms. Maybe I should send them to Lorraine's neighbor's house.

I just discovered that the Mickey statues are in Philadelphia too. I may have to go see them but would hate to see them if they are vandalized.

Speaking of Philly....are we going to try to have some sort of meet when Gaspode comes over? Sandi, any ideas for a good place to meet? Who else could come?

Amy STILL refuses to sleep in her room if it's stormy. She moves onto the couch in the living room. The kids used to keep sleeping bags under the end of our bed so if it stormed they could unroll them on our floor. It was way too crowded in our bed for all four of us and two scared dogs.

Sorry about the loss. I'm still pulling for Matt's team to win.

Mike I had to giggle when I read " lost a little $$ toady". Are you calling one of us toady or did you lose the money playing a new game called toady? Sounds like fun, actually. Did you know I've never been to a casino? I've never been to the horse track either. (I've been to horse races, but not the betting kind. Just the little hometown type.) But I guess that's okay. I'm not much on betting anyway. I'm the one that always loses at Bingo. Now, the lottery. . . I could get into that. Good thing we don't have it here in Oklahoma or I'd be tempted.

Long night here for me. Kaitlin has been up sick most of the night. Headache, fever, sore throat, vomiting.......Guess who will be driving to the Dr. this AM for a throat culture?
She is currently on the couch watching a movie......

Hopefully Kevin will not get it too.....he has really been looking forward to this karate camp and he loved it yesterday!

to Kaitlin and Donna. Hope she's better today, that Kevin doesn't get anything, and that you get some rest.

EB used to be terrified of thunderstorms....at the first clap of thunder she'd be in bed with us in a flash. Matt would camp out on the floor because he didn't want to miss anything. Now, if she wakes up during a storm she'll head to Matt's room and he'll keep her company until it passes. Sometimes he can be considerate!

I have a couple ideas for a meet. Waiting to see how many people we come up with. I'll have to get BB to come along with us.

Yesterday afternoon actually turned out to be pretty nice. Spent it at the pool.

They're suppossed to start digging the hillside and footer here on Thursday, I hope all this rain doesn't delay them.

Donna, I hope Kaitlin is on the mend soon and she doesn't share with Kevin.

If Sarah got scared of anything at night, she would come in and sleep on the floor next to our bed. I used to keep a pillow and blanket there waiting for her. Andrew could sleep through anything.

I hope Matt's team wins on Wednesday! What a nice big brother to sit with his sister like that. Logan asked Leah the other morning if she wanted him to make her some scrambled eggs while he was making his eggs.

The storms were making the sky turn all kinds of funky colors. After most of the storm had passed, the sky was a weird shade of yellows and oranges. Pretty, though.

Sandi, how long of a drive to Philly? I sure would hate to miss a chance to meet Gaspode. I know of one thing on my calendar already for that weekend, but I am hoping to be able to make the meet anyway.
