Sandi, how long of a drive to Philly? I sure would hate to miss a chance to meet Gaspode. I know of one thing on my calendar already for that weekend, but I am hoping to be able to make the meet anyway.

It takes me 5 hours if I don't hit Philly rush hour.
I always try to avoid that.
I'll probably go for the whole weekend.

My 2 really bonded after Sarah got her license and access to a car. Traveling to school together and going out after band.... Andrew had the $$ and Sarah had wheels.

Good morning all! The boards seem to be very slow for me.

Donna, I hope Kaitlin is feeling better soon

That would be so cool if you all could meet Melissa... I just wish Philly were about 6 hours closer to me :)

These nice sibling comments make me smile... sure wish my sister had been that way with me... oh wait I had the money and the wheels... never mind :p

No time for a proper catchup - will do that at work.

Hope Kaitlin is o.k. though.

The moment everyone has been waiting for:

My BIL and SIL had a baby boy last night! He was 9lbs 6 oz!!!!! They told her that the baby was going to be big. His name (not one of my favorite choices) is Sheamus. I'm part Irish, but I was going for their other choice - Cole.

Will check in at work.

Lorraine, tell Jimmy and Leah I said congratulations! Not sure how I feel about that name either.

Good Morning Angels & Cherubs:wave2:

It looks like it's gonna be a sunyn day here in MI:sunny:
I am hoping for no more storms!

I would love the opportunity to meet Gaspode but Philadelphia is a bit too far for me to drive.....maybe when it gets closer I can check on how much flying would cost.

Congrats on the new nephew Lorraine!:jumping3:

Donna~ Hugs for you & for Kaitlin...I hope that she'll be feeling better in no time.....& I hope that Kevin does't catch it too........I hope that you dont' get it either but if you asked Dylan he would tell you that Mommies can't get a sickness from their child cause they have 'Mommy immunities':D

Meg gets really nervous during thunderstorms~I think her fear goes back to when she was 6 and lightening struck our house:eek: it was on my 30th birthday too

We are making a scrapbook for my inlaws as a surprise anniversary gift...we'll give it to them on the trip....my SIL did a few pages of IL's wedding, honeymon & of DH & his 2 sisters as babies...then the book was passed to me to do a page of each of my 3 as babies...now I'll pass it on today so the SIL's can both do pages of their kids too....MIL should really like this!!!
We got her a charm bracelet for Mother's Day & we're planning on getting her charms in Rockport & in Franconia, NH~that takes care of gifts for MIL.......anyone got any ideas on what an 82 y/o man might like????

Congrats Auntie Lorraine.

Y'all are crazy ;)

'Cept you Alan, of course :)

Well if that isn't just the sweetest thing...completely misguided, but very sweet nonetheless!

And you said "y'all" too! It's nice to see someone who speaks the language.

I rarely watch the national news but I turned it on this morning and started worrying about the Angels. Apparently Pennsylvania is flooded and terrorists want to bomb malls in Elaine territory.

I don't need this kind of stress.....

Awww Alan... dont' worry Ohio is flooding too ;) Seriously though, the bomb threat wasn't much of a big deal to many of us. The just knew of the plans and got him before anything happened. The news said we were a target because we are 600 miles of like 1/2 the population... and that after the blackout that started here  they realize we can cause damage to a good portion of the popluation. Loverly isn't it? :p

Carol!!! :rotfl:

Funny how men want the same thing at all ages... Although does a 20 year old man want a 20 year old woman or is that the same then even?

A 20 year old man wants any woman....

Somehow I don't see me in the mid-life crisis looking for a trophy wife (or mistress) category

However, something said earlier did remind me of a news item from last week.

We lost our last Confederate widow; she was an Alabama native and became a bit of a celebrity a few years ago when someone in the SCV (Sons of Confederate Veterans - and no, this is not a group I belong to) discovered her and realized she was eligible for a war pension she had not been receiving!

She married an 81 year old Confederate War veteran when she was 21 and already a widow. When he died later, she married his grandson. :teeth:

Now Alan, I speak the language too. I just try to contain it on the boards where people don't share my lingo. I'll try to remember to throw in a few y'alls for you once in a while if it means that much to you.

Lou, you are too silly, but so right about 20 year olds.

I got to sleep in today and it was just the ticket. I feel so rested and refreshed. No more complaints about the weather, at least not this morning. :teeth: I sat around and finished my book. Now I need to get to work, I guess.

Hope Kailin just had a bug and that the rest of you don't end up with it.

Lorraine, I like Cole better too. Their other choice reminds me of The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Isn't that her dad's name?
