Just this side of heaven is a place
called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet
goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and
play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and
comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those
who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember
them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss
someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and
looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs
carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you
cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses
rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once
more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never
absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
Laura, my best with prayers for your uncle Hank, do hope he does well. And Carol, congratulations for Sarah, so pretty, always nice.

On my laptop here, dialup, UGH, my cable is out again, tough coming back to dialup.

Again, Laura, thanks.

Hi Dan, nice to see you over here!

Carol - I haven't seen the 3rd HP yet and I haven't read any of the books. did see 1 and 2 though. I think as long as you saw the 1st one you should be fine.

Just had leftover sloppy joe's and oriental salad for lunch. Still have lots of cookies from yesterday if anyone wants one..........
I weeded around my flowers in the front yard. I hate weeding, but it's much easier after a rain. Also, weed wacked around the front and back while DH cut the grass. Taking a break now.

Well, Lorraine, glad you have some energy today!:teeth:

I just spent time out on the patio laying on my swing....tried to read but well, napped instead!;)

Dan had to go over to his parents house to help them do some yard work.....so the kids and I are just hanging out...........they seem kind of tired today too so they are content to just veg out!

yawn......going back to my important task of doing nothing!;)

(and liking it!..............:teeth: )

Dh & I are gonna take a ride this afternoon......there is a new neighborhood being built in the next town that looks exactly like a little bit smaller version of Celebration::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo We can't resist going to check it out!!!!!
We also need to stop by a friends house to drop off a grad gift for their DD, unfortunately we missed the party yesterday.

We're gonna need to stop hanging out with you Lorraine.....you make us all look bad!! For goodness sakes~SIT DOWN!!!!!

yawn......going back to my important task of doing nothing!
Atta girl!

Steph~I'm glad that you & Neil had fun in Boston:D That's a shame about the Mickey statues though:(

Sandi~I'm looking forward to that recipe!

Hey~Who wants to come to MI & fill in at my Euchre party next weekend????:teeth:

Leah and I saw HP3 with Sue, Donna, and their kids on the first day it came out. Logan had left early that day to go to the cottage with his grandparents. He didn't know we saw it, and he kept asking me when he could go. :o I talked Lenny into taking him this afternoon. I figured I could take a little :cat: while they are gone.

Billy didn't work today, so we spent most of the day moving perrenials from the back hill(where they'll be digging up on Thursday)to the front yard to save them. It's taken me 4 weekends to get that all done.:crazy2:

Dan, thanks so much for that website. I'd love to order one of those personalized prints!

Ok, here is the Spinach Ball Recipe:

3 boxes chopped frozen spinach, cooked, and hand squeezed
1 large bag of Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Stuffing
1 lb grated Mozarella cheese
9 eggs beaten
1 cup melted butter
2 tsps garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper

Mix all ingredients well. Form into small balls and place on a cookie sheet then put the tray into the freezer. When firm, remove from freezer and place into Ziplock Freezer Bags and return to freezer until needed. Bake frozen in a pre-heated oven at 375 for 15-20 minutes. They'll brown slightly.
(They should be moist)

I had some at a party last week (they're popular around here!) and they were SO overcooked and dried out! ugh.

We're going to take my mom out for dinner to get her out of the house a bit, so no cooking for me!

Instead of napping I was forced to go shopping :p Got a cute little outfit that I can't wait to wear to work :)

hanks for that recipe, Sandi, it sounds delicious!!!

I think it is nap time now!

We're back from Boston and it was a lot of fun!!! :sunny:
Here's a link to the antics. There were only 7 Mickey statues today :(

Lew had to go to work for a bit once we got back :( Things get crazy for him before we take a trip so he wanted to get ahead of the game. We'll be at the World in just 20 days!!!!!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :sunny: ::yes:: :teeth:

EB and I took a bike ride and now I'm waging a battle with some bumblebees that have taken residence under a section of my deck. I've sprayed the entire area but they keep coming back. Any and all suggestions on how to get rid of them are most welcome. I have a small garden near the area so I have to be careful of what I spray.

I finally got caught up on all my missed pages (and pictures). The Lou-ow certainly looked like a lot of fun.

MP...I am jealous you got to go to the big convention. We get expos here a couple times a year, but I usually only go to the smaller one. The other one is $10 to get in, plus $12 to park 3 blocks away. Not worth it if you ask me. The msaller one is only $5 or $8 to get in with free parking in a lot right next to the convention building. Much more convenient.

Sandi, Im so sorry to hear about your fur-baby. I had a cat put down several years ago and I still get twinges of hurt when I think about him.

I worked yesterday then went to a graduation party. Got home early, but very tired so I called it a night before 10:00.

We went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast this morning then to the outlet mall. I bought Sam several new pairs of PJ pants and PJ tops at the Carter's outlet for $2 each. Im really gonna miss when he outgorws their biggest size (he's wearing it now). He also picked out a couple shirts at Big Dogs. He was laughing so hard when it finally dawned on him that the t-shirts were parodies of stuff he knows. He picked the Bob The Builder and Spongebob shirts. They are very cute. They also had several "Its 5 O'clock Somewhere' items. So I had to get the sticker and mug.

Now I am getting ready to go to Applebees for a goodbye dinner for a former co-worker. She is moving a couple hours away so a bunch of us decided dinner out (just the girls) was needed.

Have a good evening :)

Me too. Had 10 pages to catch up.
We had a great weekend away for our bowling banquet. Weather was great. Mid 70's during the dayand mid 60's in the evenings with out any rain
Left home Friday morning and stopped off at a local casino for a couple of hours of gambling. Left without winning or losing any moeny (broke even).
Onto the resort and relax for a couple of hours. We had an evening of karaoke (sp). Very entertaining and I spared the local animals and did not sing (can not cary a tune in a bucket).
Did a round of golf in the mornning and dir some more R and R in the afternoon. Banquet diner dance in the evening.
We have been going away for our bowling banquets for the past 15 years or so and I think we have only one bad weekend (weather wise) since we started.

Hiya Everyone and a very good evening to you all :)

Wow! I've missed a lot, just scan read as much as I could....

Sandi - So sorry to hear about Tia

To all the Luau participants - great photos and stories! Glad you had a good time :)

Carol - Sarah looks lovely in that photo - I've never seen white graduation gowns before, beautiful!

 @ Everyone

We took the plunge and booked our PA and "Universal" hotels today... (drum roll ;)):

PA - We will be staying from 12th to 14th November at Embassy Suites City Center. These look really great! And with complimentary breakfast and large rooms you can't go wrong for $63 a night!

Universal - We will be staying from 23rd to 26th November (rest of hol will hopefully be spent at CSR but we are waiting for codes (cross your fingers for us!!)) at .... The Peabody Orlando! Wow this looks amazingly posh, I am nervous about 'fitting in' LOL. I'm worried about our travel to USF/IOA - we were hoping to be nearer, but it will be nice to wander International Drive on an evening and we shall just have to rely on the I-Rides - any advice?!

Hope we can meet plenty of peeps when in PA!!!

Cya,
Gaspode

Brendan had a friend from school over today. I wish our pool was up so they could have swam. It was a beautiful day here. I made rice, baked beans, corn on the cob, hotdogs, and steak (for Dh and I!!).

SB, Can you tell me how you made the oriental salad and what kind of dressing you had on it?
