We've decided not to go see HP until Amy cleans her room. Yes, I'm resorting to bribery or should I say threats? ;)

The kids are back in town, but not home yet. We're skipping out on the mixer tonight (my reunion). Decided that we'd rather spend time with the kids and go to the picnic and the party tomorrow night. So we are ready to head out for Chinese food as soon as they drive in.

The garage sale sounds like a success. Good for you!

I got a spa treatment gift certificate for my anniversary last year and still haven't used it! I need to get busy and scedule it. It's almost anniversary time again.

I keep thinking that my swallows could eat this spider. If only I could get them in here to find it and then back out. :teeth:

Gotta run. Just wanted to check in and say :wave2:

I thought LK was rescuing Kaitlin from the crazy internet lady? BTW ever notice her name...KAiTlin.....hmm what's that spell.....:scratchin :cat:

Hey Gaspode, there is a recap a page or two back.

Carol, hope you got lots of PMs today. It was kind of slow here today so I don't know if many people saw it...:(

Where's Steph????

We're back from the movie and enjoyed it. It was different from the first 2. It was crowded....we were at the 7 p.m. show....but we arrived early and had good seats. Matt & his friend sat in the top row, their favorite spot, but the rest of us stayed closer to ground.

Donna - I watched that preview of The Notebook and immediately thought that I'd like to read the book. I think I'll have to track it down so I can read it on our travels to and from Florida!

I have 2 giggling 9 year-olds who I have to start settling down. EB has a morning soccer game and then we'll bring her friend home before Matt's baseball game at 5. Hoping the rain holds off so we can get both games in. On Sunday we have a family Christening and a family birthday....just different families!

 everybody!

I haven't read to catch up yet. I did skim through a little and saw several mentions of spiders. My friend's funeral was today. It wasn't bad until they started reading letters his neices and nephews wrote to him.  One was cute though...she said thankyou for teaching her how to eat pudding without a spoon. His mom stood next to the casket before the service and just kept caressing his head. He lived life to the fullest and encouraged everyone else to do the same because you never know when you will be called home. This guy went through 7 back surgeries and still rode motorcycles, four wheelers, and anything else he wanted to do. He lived more in his 37 years then most people do in 90 years!
Oops I just realized Nick has a makeup game in the morning and I haven't washed his uniform yet!!:earseek: :earseek: It's after 11!!!!Ughhh!! Ok off to wash the uniform.
OH...We went to the Rush concert Wed. and they were great!! We also got to see some really freaky people:crazy2: Nick's team won 21-9 and Nick scored 3 runs!! WooHOO!!

Good Morning!

Gaspode, Happy Belated Birthday To You!!

Jackie, WELCOME!

Congrats to Sarah on her Awards!!

It's raining today, but that's ok, I don't mind. We had a gorgeous sunny day last week for the wedding. I'm also crossing my fingers for a nice sunny day next Saturday for our trip to LK's backyard!!:sunny: :sunny:

I got a call from the newly weds last night around 10:00!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
BB sounded so happy and relaxed! She said they have a beautiful view of the ocean from their deck. She said they both had massages and they went snorkeling. I told her to take tons of photos!! They'll be home on Wednesday evening.

Happy Saturday:Pinkbounc

This is a quick check in before I'm back out in the garage for the day.....but this is the last day:D Anything left over tonight goes to the Salvation Army.
I'm not sure how much $ we've made total becasue I've been selling things for 6 different people but we're not doing badly....it's worth the effort:D
My DH isn't feeling well......he's managed to catch some kind of virus & I'm afraid he'll be in bed most of the weekend I'm sure he's not just avoiding helping me in the garage ;) :p
The kids are hoping to go see HP either tonight or tomorrow.....we'll have to see how the rest of the day goes & how Daddy's feeling before we make any definate plans.
Got some sad news yesterday....my niece had a miscarriage:( her second one in 6 months.
and my cousin who is due to have her baby on July 27th started bleeding & is in the hospital getting steroid shots in case they need to do a c-section:worried: if you have a moment please send some prayers & good vibes out to Jami & her baby.

Gaspode~Miss Ya Sweety!!

Good morning everyone.

Andrew was supposed to be linesman at 4 soccer games today but they are all rained out.

I have to take Sarah to the doctor for her meningitis vacination. I just realized that she will be gone all summer and I need to get it done. Luckily I could get a quick appointment. And we will be shopping for things she needs for camp. Then she has 2 graduation parties to go to today.

Jack and I still have to go shop for her graduation gift and Wednesday is Jack's birthday so I have to get working on that.

This is a busy time of year for me. I hope I don't forget something.

Good morning all... I have a busy day here and so much to catch up on so if I miss you I apologize ;)

Melissa, happy belated birthday!! Just curious, when was HP released over there?

Hmmm... cicadas eating spiders? I think I'll pass... I'd rather *neither* were in my house ;)

Donna, how sweet about your DD, but I got a kick out of the differences of opinion that your two kids had :teeth:

Thanks Lorraine, now if I could only pick it up after it was dead! I always think that even though I've killed a spider it can come back to life  Sounds like a busy day for you yesterday. I agree a bit chilly,b ut it always seems that right around the end of school it gets colder here.

ibouncetoo, no worries, Viggo isn't "mine" at all! The one I "go after" is Orlando Bloom and even then I am not too keen on him being a pale faced blonde with blue eyes. So Viggo is all yours :p If you haven't seen ROTK, you'll like him even more there though

Merry, I hope you had a good night and enjoy using your spa gift!!!

Gail, glad you enjoyed the movie. Have fun at the game!

Carolyn, how sad about that family. That would be hard too. I have to agree though, there are some strange people at concerts!!!

Sandi, so glad they are having such a good time!!! I hope that the rest of their trip goes as well!!!

Lars, good luck with the sale. So sorry about your cousin and neice though. I will keep them both in my prayers and I hope all will be well with your cousin

:wave2: Hi Mike!!! Hi Lou!!! Hi Carol!!!

Well I need to dash... maybe have laundry to do and need to pack up for tonight.

Awfully quiet here today. Do I have to start some trouble?

I have a sad story to share. One of the girls on the mission trip with the kids got a phone call from her mom yesterday. Before the trip, her friend's father had hung himself. I think they were going through a divorce. The daughter was upset, of course. This phone call was to let her know that the friend/daughter had killed herself as well. So sad. :(

The kids want to go on next summers mission trip, as well. Can't say it was all fun, but they enjoyed the experience. They said they learned about people who live in poverty. Most of the homes were all boarded up and falling apart. David broke up several fistfights this week. Hopefully they planted some seeds.

We're getting ready to go to my school picnic. It rained to beat the band this morning. But the sun is out now. Hopefully some of the families will still show up.

I think I forgot to wish Melissa a belated happy birthday.

I'm not good at picking up anything dead, E. I have to use a big wad of toilet paper or put my hand inside an opaque plastic bag (so I'm not actually touching it and I can't see myself picking it up). LOL!

We need to have a garage sale around here.

We tried out our new rug shampooer. It works great! We've done the kids bathroom, the hall and David's room. I hate our carpeting. It's light tan and shows every little spot. And we have a lot of them! Can't wait to do the rest, but we'll have to do it in small pieces because we don't want to walk on it when it's wet.

Quick hi and bye...w on't be back until tomorrow.

LOL Lou... Donna I think you could take him on ;)

Merry that is so sad :( My prayers are with them all.

I had to chucked at how you pick up dead things... that would work for me :teeth:

Really do need to go... have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Afternoon All!

MP - that is so sad about that family. how terrible.

Lars - saying prayers for your niece and cousin. i hope everything will be o.k. w/ your cousin's baby.

E - did you forget Viggo is mine!!!

We have a cold, rainy day today. We are taking my IL's out to dinner tonight for their 45th Anniversary. My SIL's due date is today also. I talked to my BIL and he said she was having some cramping earlier. I hope everything goes well for her.

Bump from page 2.

Only in the 50's here today, and raining. YUCK!

MP, how awful about that family and for everyone involved.

Lars, prayers and good wishes for your niece and cousin.

:wave2:

It is a terrible story. Amy came home in tears last night. She doesn't know the family, but felt so sorry for the friend. I hope the mother and other daughter are getting some help. I'm sure there are feelings of guilt.

My picnic was small, probably due to the rain. But it was still nice. THEY sure look older. ;) I was shocked at how many of them had babies and toddlers. I guess I was an early bloomer, although I didn't have David until I'd been out of college for about 4 years.

We go again tonight at 7:00. This is the big bash where they take a class photo and have a DJ playing songs from when we were in high school. Hopefully I'll see a few more of my old buddies. Especially since it's the class of '78 and '79. I ran around with a large group and most of them graduated the year before I did. Could be fun if several of us are there. Many I haven't seen since their graduation.

Lars, I'm so sorry about your niece's baby. I'm sure her heart is breaking. And I'm thinking good thoughts for your cousin and SB's SIL. Also hope Mr. Lars feels better soon. ;)

Hi Guys!

News on my cousin is that she'll be in the hospital at least til Monday & then she needs to be off her feet at home. They are hoping that she can carry for a minimum of 3 more weeks. This cousin lost her MIL last spring to lung cancer & today they were told that her FIL has pneumonia & his x-ray showed some white spots on his lungs:(

MP:( that is so sad......my heart goes out to their family & friends:(

Do I have to start some trouble?
Knock yourself outwhy should today be any different than any other day
