Survivor was interesting tonight - that's all I'll say for now. The Apprentice was so-so. Going to be really cold here tomorrow. Really need to go to the store though, so I guess I'll be dragging DD out in the cold.

Never got a chance to read any today. Grandma went to the hospital this afternoon. She was out of control. Yelling her arms hurt, she couldn't breath, and she was going to throw up. She was fine within an hour of getting to the hospital as far as I could tell. She is still there. I had to play the "call dad" card to get my aunt and her husband to come up and relieve me though. They are night owls but didn't want to drive ALL THE WAY to the hospital My aunt actually said "Just call me when she is released and you can bring her to my house" Ok I have to be up early because Nick has testing in the morning AND I have to go get my parents at the airport. I am tired and haven't eaten. It was not a good time to tell me she was going home to relax and play on the computer until I called. Oh and to yell on her answering maching so they would know it was me and answer the phone!! I called dad and he called her and told her she had to come up to the hospital so I could go home. Ok I better go to bed now. I just got home 5 minutes ago so I wanted to check in. Nick is wound up and doesn't want to go to bed. After the last 2 days I need a VACATION!!!!!

Not much gong on today til 2 o'clock when I have a meeting about the 'Special Interest Day' at Dylan's school. We do one day a year where the entire day is built arond a theme.....this year's theme is Michigan outdoors....we have speakers come in, demonstrations, crafts etc...I am in charge of the science experiment. I needed to come up with an experiment that could be tweaked to be appropriate for 1st graders thru 5th graders that related to MI outdoors & would be possible in the 20 minute window I have each class....I decided to go with the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald~they'll get a little history lesson first about why it sank then they'll have to make a boat out of tinfoil & see if not only will it float but how much weight (washers or ball bearings etc) it will hold before sinking & then we will chart the results. Sounds like BIG FUN huh

We had a really bad wind storm here last night. Pieces of my neighbors siding are laying all over the street. It went on for hours! And now it is really cold!!!! With snow flurries!!

SB: this does not look good for our parade weather tomorrow!
What happened to our and 50 we were supposed to have! We will be standing near where you are. You will recognize me cause I will be wearing GREEN!

Lars, those are the kind of projects I usually get myself volunteered for! The hand just goes up and later I say what WAS I thinking. But it will be fun in the end.

Lorraine, similar weather here today... it was 70 something last friday and now it is well below freezing. Gotta love the midwest weather

Donna, we didn't have a storm last night but we had some awful wind!!!! Luis is afraid fo wind and he was not a happy man last night I don't think ours was quite that bad as I didn't see any house parts laying around, but bunches of tree branches and all that had fallen

Sandi, I bet it is hard to have BB go back to Philly. I hope you get to visit with her again soon

Ugh, it's cold in here and that makes me want to go back home and curl up in bed even more than before

Thank you for not talking about Survivor yet, I havent watched my tape.

Its cccccooooold here, a whopping 18 with a wind chill of 4. What happened to spring??

I am off to school today with Sam for nutrition snack day, I have to help make smoothies. Not the best snack on a cold day.

Oh, I am also taking the mini-beast to school with me. My sister is in a pinch for a sitter, so I asked Sam's teacher if I could could bring her. I left out the mini-beast part though.
Sam is thrilled that we are bringing her, its like a real live show and tell.
