Carol, I forgot to say, Have a great time at KOP.
I love it there! When I get up to visit BB in Philly, I usually make an excuse to get over there for an afternoon.
Don't forget to show us pics of the Prom Dress!!

MP - LOL at your sons tooth story. I kept telling my DS that if he went to bed w/ it half hanging on, that he might swallow it! I was trying everything for him to let me pull it out.

So .... about those riddle apples yesterday ..... anyone want to share the answer w/ me ???????

Wow Gail .... Rhody almost pulled it off !

Afternoon all!! Beatuiful day here!! 50's sunny and perfect for shorts!!! I hope this means spring is on its way!!!

LOL @ Steph and Lou :p

Merry, too funny with the tooth story as well!!!

Well I supposed I should head inside and do some laundry or something. Just would rather laze away all day!

Sandy - I think Steph posted the answer on todays riddle thread. The last son got the apple and the basket.

Gail - sorry about your team - i was just watching the high(low)lights.

Thanks SB ... makes perfect sense now !:p

Good afternoon all!! Its a beautiful day here and I am sitting in front of the computer~ Just got back from Joann fabrics buying more stuff for these crazy and expensive hobbies!!! As long as were having fun right?!
Glad to be back to the Angel thread!

Sandi-I sent you an e-mail.

Have a great day!
Mary Jo

Carol did you find a prom dress? We want to hear all about it.

I'm back from Amy's concert. It was amazing. They only practiced the music for one day and they sounded great. Says a lot about the teachers. They did a fantastic job. And the New Horizon band was so cute. One man was the grandfather of one of the 7th graders. I thought that was cool.

It's gray and dreary today and the wind is strong. I hear that a squall line will come through in the early morning hours with possible severe weather. Amy and I are making a run to camp to warn the Scouts in case they want to pack it up late tonight or early, early in the morning.

I'll check back when Amy and I get back home.

Good afternoon!

I think I got everything for the puppet. At JoAnn fabrics the check out lady said I was about the fifth one thru today.

Went for a walk with my DH. He forgets his stride is a bit longer than mine. I had to double time it to keep up. Oh well more exercise for me.

SB It is funny that you like to pull your kids teeth out. My husband was always looking for loose teeth, to bad the kids are all out now.

We are grilling out tonight since it is so nice out.

E you are brave wearing shorts already.

Everyone enjoy your evening.:wave2:

And UConn did!!!!

Not quite warm enough for shorts here but it was a beautiful day. Sounds like others were taking advantage of the nice weather too.

It's just 60 degrees in Orlando right now so Lars' weather isn't that much warmer than ours. Still.....I'd rather be in Disney World right now!!!! :earsgirl:

Interesting day here today.
I get a call during Kevin's karate testing from DH saying he is going to the hospital. He sliced his pinkie finger while moving a refrigerator that we got from his mom into our basement. But instead of coming right home so I can see if he is OK, he goes shoe shopping afterwards. So, I spent my afternoon worrying and wondering where he was! He got 5 stitches and is all bandaged up.

Kids have been in and out all day enjoying the nice weather.
Don't feel like cooking so we will probably go out to dinner.
Sue is having steaks on the grill and I tried to invite myself over, but it didn't work! ha ha

Gail, we will be excited for the Pitt game here tomorrow. March Madness will be fun on the angel thread!\

SB, we have already started our St Pats holiday celebrating too. We go to the parade every year. (they better have it this year). My cousins come from Canada for that weekend every year so we can go. My kids have a leprechaun box which is a shoe box that we decorated and punched "air hole" in. We place green jelly beans in it to tempt the leprechaun and try to catch him. (We want to catch him and follow him to his pot of gold!). He usually is too fast for us and he only leaves us gold foil chocolate coins or little leprechaun treats. We haven't caught him yet but we keep trying every year!

Merry, sorry you are getting the bad weather today. But please don't send it our way!

 everyone!

Wow! 2 visits from MaryJo in 2 days!!

E, I have to agree with Sue, you are brave wearing shorts today!

Carol, Sorry to hear you are "craft impaired" Maybe someday they'll find a cure for that.

I wonder if I'll make it to 4000 this weekend.

Hi gang! Sadly, I did not win the Grand Prize to Orlando today from the radio station, but we still had fun at the kids fest. The younger LKs got their faces painted and their hair streaked. We didn't even have to buy lunch because there were lots of booths giving away samples of food and drinks.

MP, sounds like Amy did a great job today! There are a few families in our community band, too.

I wish I had the creativity for stamping and for scrapbooking. Donna showed me the beautiful book she put together for her DS from their Disney trip.

Hi Lars, wherever you are! I'm going to imagine that they are enjoying the evening at MGM, and waiting to see Fantasmic later on.

Sue, you'd better fill me in on this puppet thing, too! Before you know it, Logan and Matt will be working on their projects.

Tuesday evening will be even more exciting when Providence plays Pitt!!!!

Sorry about DH's injury....doesn't seem to have slowed him down much. He sounds like LK's DH, he's another shopper. Mine will do whatever he can to avoid shopping!

I've decided I'm heading down to the basement to try to straighten out some of the clutter that was created from our little flood a few weeks ago. I have bags of kids clothes all jumbled together and I want to see what's outgrown and what's still available for the summer. If you don't hear from me in a few hours, please send out a search party....with margaritas of course!

Ouch! So sorry he cut his finger. He sounds just like my DH. He wouldn't think to call me before he went shopping either.

I'm checking my watch. Gail hasn't been down there too long yet, has she? Maybe I need to start making margaritas?

Be sure to let us know how the puppet turns out. I'm curious about what you decide to do with the assignment.

Sorry it's cool in Orlando, but I bet they're still having a great time. It's around 55 here, but the wind cuts right through you. The Scouts are packed up and coming home after the campfire tonight. Cross your fingers that they beat the storms home. They'd already heard about the upcoming storms, but I was the hero for caring enough to make sure they knew. They fed us lasagne, so I didn't have to cook. I liked that. Besides camp food always tastes good. I'll attempt to keep the storms away from the rest of you.

I'm heading for the shower. I smell like smoke and my allergies don't like that. That's one of the reasons I seldom camp with the Scouts. I always seem to get a headache.

Good evening everyone.

We had a fun day today. Sarah had found a dress in a prom magazine that she wanted to try on. We tried a bridal/prom shop last week but they didn't have it. We started off today at a bridal shop in Wilmington and they did have the dress and she tried it and really liked it. But we still went to KOP with our friends. I had never been there before. It is HUGE. I think there are 7 or 8 anchor department stores. I bet we walked 3 miles. Sarah and Jessie tried on many dresses and we had a nice lunch then dessert later before we left. Sarah decided she still liked the one from the magazine the best. We will have to go back on Monday and order it. Here is a link to the dress. Make sure you look at the back view. The straps make it so different. If MIL wasn't contributing, it would be out of our price range.

Only 7 more to go. You should do it.

I may not be crafty but I can knit. I am starting an afghan for Sarah to take to college.

Going to try to do a little vacuuming before some TV and knitting.

I love it, Carol. What color is she thinking she'd like?

Carol, that is a beautiful dress! Can't wait to see a picture of Sarah all dressed up.

MP, why is it that camp food always tastes so good? We made this interesting concoction at Brownie camp last year, and I was convinced the girls would hate it. They LOVED it - even the pickiest girl in the troop had seconds.
