I appreciate your updates... and I wish I lived closer so I could help out.
You are both in my thoughts every day!
You are both in my thoughts every day!

Thank you all so much for your prayers and hugs and good thoughts. It means the world to me.
Ron his out of critical care and is up on the 4th floor today. They are giving him physical therapy. Everything is going well, except that he doesn't open his eyes. I must tell him to open them a million times a day. He must get so tired of hearing that. I talk to him about our trips to Disney and our walks closer to home. I talk about what a great son and DIL we have. They are just doing everything for me. I've heard from many people that this Moss Rehab center is the BEST. Chuck and Karen say that don't want me to try and catch buses. They will drive up there on the weekends if that is where he needs to go. I can call every day. Since I walk with a cane and am not very fast or nimble on my feet, I guess trying to catch buses in a strange town is not one of my best ideas.
It's funny you should mention music D,L and K's momma. I just got out my portable cd player. Ron just bought a bunch of rag time cd's that I am going to bring with me. That might help.
Thank you 4nanna for the Footprints in the Sand. It is one of my favorites.
It's strange, but I've always said prayers for people that need it with no problem. But with my Ron, all I can manage, is Dear God, please let him open his eyes and come back to me. I hope that is enough. I'm sure God knows what is in my heart.
Oh my dear friends, I have some good news tonight! When I put the ear phones on him and started to play some boogie woogie, he raised his finger in the air. I thought he was going to stand up and make a speech. LOL But he started to tap his finger in time to the music! He did that 3 or 4 times. I thought maybe it was just a reflex. But a little later he did the same thing. Then the nurse came in to tell me this morning he opened his eyes for her. As they were turning him, she told him to hold on to the bed rail and he did. Then she told him to point and he did. He also squeezed her hand with his left hand, the weak one. But you know what was the very BEST thing? She asked him if he knew his wife was there. And he NODDED HIS HEAD. He knows I'm there! Oh my dear sweetheart is coming back. She told me that with his kind of brain injury he needs to sleep a lot. For the first time I am SURE that he is going to make a full recovery. I am going to sleep well tonight.
