Angelrose's Journey

Hey everyone!

I thought of everyone here the other nite..wasn't near a computer though to pop in and say Hi. I hope everyone is enjoying the pretty Spring and not being too affected by the floods that some are having!!!???

How are you Angelrose? When you last posted you were dealing with water and lots of it then!:sad2: I do hope that is behind you now and the warmer sunny days are bringing pleasure.

It's a perfect Spring here..sunny and warm with tomorrow to be pretty close to hot! I did some gardening yesterday and all the flowers and shrubs are waking up from their winter slumber nicely.

Chell...are you feeling better these days? How are those kittens? I imagine by now they are adoptable? Would love to see some pictures...

Have a lovely day all! Keep in touch?:flower3:

Hello everyone. I have been dealing with lots of water in the basement over and over again.

Before this last storm, Chuck had gotten me a wet vac and I had gotten all the water out of the work room down there. All for nothing. Luckily when I knew the storm was coming I got the fan and the wet vac off the floor. I saw water just starting to come in again. Then there was two inches. The last time I looked there was 7 inches of water. Chuck got the pump working and it went non stop for two days. Today I got the last of the water that I could get with the pump. When it's less than in inch the pump won't work. So I turned it off and brought the hose inside. I got the fan up on two cement blocks and started it going. I'm not even going to look for a couple of days. When it gets dry in the one direction, I will turn the fan around and let it go in the opposite direction. Hopefully by the end of next week, I will be able to use the wet vac for the last puddles and mop up whats left after that.

I am so ready for this dry weather!

minniecarousel, I love that magazine and Reminesce Extra. Although if it's from the 40's and 50's, it's not old stuff to me. :rotfl:

minnie56, I hope this is the last of my water problems for this year. We are having beautiful days now. No rain forecast until next Thursday. I'm hoping it won't be a bad storm again.

chell, I hope you are feeling better.

I have some new pictures of Jesse, that I will post later.

Here he is counting those Easter eggs.

Angelrose,

Hi, hope I'm not crashing in but I just found your thread. I have been reading thru and I wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss.

This is truly a powerful thread.

Great pix of Jesse!! He sure is a cute little boy.

My Mom passed away this AM. She was home from the hosp & my sister & I were with her at the end. Coincidentally, her older sister in Indiana also passed away this AM.

I'm on quite a rollercoaster.

I didn't see the date on the first post. I didn't realize how long ago you posted this.

Angelrose, Jesse just gets cuter and cuter! Love those pics - wish Mia would get some of Sophia for Easter.

Julie - I am so, so sorry. Heartfelt prayer for your family.

Take comfort that she and her sister will enjoy heaven together. So sorry for your double loss.

Julie, I am so sorry for you double loss. Sending prayers your way.

lucas and Nancy F, thank you for your condolences. It has been so hard to cope this year. I have my friends here on the DIS and my family to thank for their support. My darling Ron was my life. We were so happy together. I know I should be happy for the wonderful 43 years we had together, and I am. But it's never enough. I am grateful that he did not linger in pain or had his mental faculties degraded. He had a fear of that. I still cry when I think of the night when my son and daughter in law had to tell me that my love would not be coming back to me.

But the bad days are less now. I can think about our time together and not cry too much. I can look at his picture and smile. He is in my heart and I know we will be together some day.

I'm glad you all liked the pictures of Jesse. That smile of his is so much like his grandpa. That's what get me through the bad times.

Happy Easter to all my dear DIS friends.

And Happy Easter to you too, Angelrose. All of the "firsts" are hard, aren't they. I know you'll have a wonderful day with your family. Are you hiding Easter eggs for Jesse?

My siblings and their families will all be at my home for Brunch on Easter. One of my sisters and one of my brothers are coming to Church with me.

Yes they are very hard. This is the first Easter without him.

Karen is having a bunch of the family kids hunt Easter Eggs tomorrow afternoon. They will do the hiding in the morning. I will get there in the afternoon to watch the fun and have dinner. I bought Jesse way too many toys for Easter. That is a big surprise to all of you I'm sure. I also have my blue sparkly bunny ears to wear tomorrow also.

I know Ron will smile when he sees the fun the kids will have tomorrow. I just wish he could be here to experience it first hand. He so looked forward to playing with Jesse.

Happy Easter to all you dear folks. I wish many blessings for all...

Thinking of you Angelrose on this Easter..:grouphug:
