Angelrose's Journey

Angelrose. so wonderful!:thumbsup2

Great to read how the journey began as well as unfolded..I LOVE the pictures, especially the one where Jesse is running into Donald's arms. Children show such pure joy around the Characters don't they? Really takes me back...

You have a lovely family, but then we knew that!

Great job..look forward to more!!!

Thank you for your prayers Art 1. I still need them to get through each day.

Today was a good day. I woke to hear a very strange noise from my back yard. It was just 7am and my neighbor Chris from across the street was already there with his snow blower. He had already done part of my driveway. By the time I got dressed and started to brush the snow off my porch he was almost done. He even brought me my paper so I didn't have to go out for it. Now tell me, am I lucky to have such wonderful neighbors who take such good care of me.

Around 10, Chuck called to say he was picking me up to spend the day with them. Jesse gave me a big hug and was so glad to see me. I had to sit down right next to him and watch Mickey Mouse Playhouse for the 1,000th time. LOL I brought him a couple of Hot Wheels and he was very happy with them and had to show momma and daddy. We played with them for a while and then had a light lunch of chicken nuggets and potato salad. Jesse went for a nap and Chuck, Karen and I talked and kind of snoozed ourselves. When Jesse woke up, we played some more while Karen and Chuck made dinner. We had chicken and rice with cream of chicken soup in the crock pot. This time she added the rice about an hour into the cooking time. It came out so good. It was more like risotto. Nice and creamy. She also made shake and bake type potatoes in the oven. They are not much on veggies there! She made an apple cake that was out of this world. We watched the Cars movie and then it was time for Jesse to take a bath. Karen and I talked for a while. She is spotting. But not as bad as with Jesse. So we are hopeful that everything will be OK. Jesse came down and we watched Dinosaur Train. It was very cute. Then it was time for Jesse to say goodnight. He gave me a big hug and a kiss and daddy took him upstairs. He was blowing kisses to me the whole way upstairs. Karen and I were laughing to the whole time. It was time for Chuck to bring me home. I was exhausted from so much fun. LOL I got home around 8. Now I am going to sign off and snuggle in front of the tv for the rest of the night.

Sounds like a perfect day!

Oh darn! I just read your TR and wrote a post, then it disappeared.:confused3 Now I must rush as it's time for me to take Sophia...

I LOVE your TR, Angelrose and so appreciate your taking the time to share your adventure with us....knowing how much you miss your dear Ron, it must have had some bittersweet moments.

Jesse with the characters...be still my heart...and had to wipe away a few tears looking at all those wonderful pics. Who are the lovely ladies you are with?

Oh! And what are "Vynalmation boxes"? This is something new to me, so can't wait to hear - would it be possible to post a picture of one maybe?? If not, that's okay.

Gotta run!!:grouphug:

Here is the link to the vinylmation figures. We bought the clear series.

Thank you all for reading my trip report. Your post did show up Minnie&Nana. There were some bittersweet moments when I just knew Ron was looking down on us. I didn't post it in the TR but right before Wishes, Chuck and I buried some of Ron's ashes so he could see the fireworks and parades every night. I cried, but had to stop because I didn't want Jesse to see me break down. It was very hard to watch Wishes without Ron there with me.

Oh Angelrose..he has the BEST seat in the house, every night!!
How bittersweet...
:sad1:

That was always our most romantic time, during Wishes. He would always hold my hand and tell me he had everything he wished for.

We also buried some of his ashes between the Poly and the GF by the lake. We took that walk every morning. He loved that so much. Now he can see it all the time.

I know that walk so well...and each time I walk there from now on, I will think of you and Ron. :littleangel:

Minnie&Nana, the ladies were the Fairies. Rosetta, Tinkerbell and Silvermist. They were so sweet and lovely.

I am buried neck deep in snow! Well maybe not that bad, but pretty bad. Around 9am the snow stopped and my neighbor did my driveway. I didn't even see him do it. Of course about an hour later it started snowing again and tonight it is all covered up again. I shoveled my back porch and a few of the steps. I am so worried about my pool and pool deck. If that goes, I will never be able to replace it. Also my holly tree in the back, part of it is bent down almost touching the ground. I'm hoping it doesn't break. After I shoveled off the back porch, well pushed it off really, the mound of snow from the ground almost hit the top of the porch. Now you know that is a LOT of snow. I think we got 28 inches or so. Maybe more, I can't really measure it because of the wind.

Here are a couple of pictures I took out the back door. That lump in the middle is my car.

Oh Angelrose! SO much snow!!! Will you be ok? I know Chuck will be sure you are...I DO hope that your tree and pool are okay:sad2: What a worry...
And here in Canada..we have merely a dusting and that's all there has been all Winter. Such a strange Winter...

Tomorrow is another day...I hope it's so much better!!!!!:grouphug:

It sure is pretty, but I cannot imagine living in that! (yup - I'll take my earthquakes over a blizzard any day!) Stay safe!

I am fine here. The electricity has been on so no problems there. This storm is over finally. I just hope I have the energy to get the rest shoveled (pushed) tomorrow. I worry about my birds!

Oh dear..you shouldn't be shoveling snow!! Are there no young boys in the neighbourhood that you can pay a little something to to clear it for you??? Snow can be so heavy...please don't?

Oh, angelrose!! Thank goodness you have power! I was thinking about you all day and wondering if you were home or at Chuck and Karen's. I know they and your neighbor will check on you, but please do not shovel anymore.

Boston is famous for the Blizzard of '78 - so many people died and so much damage - many, many homes destroyed. You would not believe the pictures. This storm reminds me of that one...I was just young woman, but injured my back terribly trying to shovel, so please be careful!

Thank you so much for letting us know you are okay! Wish you had a little pet to keep you company.

Keep us posted, please...stay warm and inside!

minnie56, I am being very careful. I do more pushing the snow away more than really shoveling. Since I just went to the dr yesterday, he said I have a strong heart. It can do with a bit of exercise to get rid of some of this blubber I am carrying.

I only do a little at a time. I have neighbors who would gladly do it for free, but I just hate to ask them. I could ask Chuck to come over and do it too. But he has his own home to take care of. They both have to go to work on Monday. Oh when Chuck called this morning, guess who wanted to say HI? Jesse said Hi Gramma! AWWWWWWW that just melted my heart.

We are supposed to get more ice/snow/freezing rain Tuesday night into Wednesday. Oh goody! But it looks like Thursday will be above freezing so maybe we can start to melt some of this stuff.

Just be really careful..a few dollars can make a young fellow pretty happy and make it so much easier on you! Hopefully..there will be some melting tomorrow if only with the sunshine. So pretty..and so heavy and hard to move sometimes. Tomorrow is another day-let's hope it's lots better!

Stay warm and safe:hug:
