Andrews AFB to Ronald Reagan Airport

I will be leaving from Andrews AFB and going to Reagan to catch a 7:00 AM flight next Wednesday Morning. I don't know the area at all. Can anyone tell me how long it will take to get there that time of day? Also, how is parking at the airport? We will need to park for about 10 days.

Go to mapquest and check the route. It's only about 15 miles, depending on your route. You'll have to leave pretty early in the morning; traffic shouldn't be too bad.

You will be at the start of rush hour at that time of day. Go to google maps at the same time you are traveling in the area and have it map the route. It can take into account the traffic in the area. I won't even hazard a guess.

You have to be at the airport so early traffic will not be a major concern, the driving part should take about 30 minutes or so, but parking and getting to the terminal will be time consuming. I would allow at least 30-45 minutes for that alone. Economy parking at the airport has just gone up to $12 a day at the airport. I always park at a Crystal City hotel and take their shuttle to the airport. The cost usually runs anywhere from $6-$10 per day. You can google DCA airport parking and many options will come up. Just an FYI - if you are considering Super Shuttle, they are not allowed on the base. I volunteer for Travelers Aid at National Airport and found this out last week when I was assisting someone with transportation to the base.

I misread the OP. As was mentioned, you will not hit any traffic that early. I agree with the 30-45 minutes.

Thanks everyone, we actually have a ride so parking isn't an issue. We were hoping that we would be early enough that traffic wouldn't be a huge issue and it looks like that may be the case.
