And yet another MM question.

So I have been reading about how MM links your ride, character experience, etc photos to your MM. Now my question is. Do you still have to go up to the photo counter after your ride the ride or can you just walk out of the ride and its automatically on your MM account. So far everything I read does not make this question completely clear. Last year when we went, we had the PP+ and we had to physically walk to the photo counter and add the photo to the account. Please help clarify this confusion for me. I will be traveling in September and I want all my ducks in a row :dance3:

TIA

I have seen both answers on DIS...I have seen you go to the counter and they link it but more recent ones say it somehow automatically links to you your MM. I can't give you a definite answer but the most recent is it links automatically.

To get the Attraction photos: after riding the attraction, the guest who paid for the Memory Maker account needs to stop at the ride’s photo sales center within 24 hours and give them the photo number to associate that photo with their Magic Band, Memory Maker card, or Disney PhotoPass Card. So if the person with the account does not want to ride, they do not have to, but they do need to be available, along with the photo # that shows on the screens, in order to be able to link that photo to the account. At some attractions the photo may download automatically to your MagicBands and Memory Maker account. It may show up on your band as you exit the ride.

I just looked this up this morning! :) I wish it told you which ones!

How does MM know which ride car you are on. Do you scan your magic band as you step on to the ride? This is all very interesting and curious. I feel like I just fell down a rabbit hole.
