And then they were gone--the last use of our PAP's!

We returned last week from a great, albiet short journey to WDW. With the last day of school and the end of our PAP's in sight we decided to surprise the kids. DH and I have had this planned since last August, and it went off without too much of a problem. DS had his moving up day on June 25th at 8:45 am and we had our flight scheduled for 12:55. The kids knew nothing about the trip. As usual they were dropped off at Daycare on Wednesday while Dh and I packed up the car. We attended his ceremoney and told the kids that DH had to go on a business trip so we were dropping him at the airport. DH and I checked in while the kids stayed on a bench. Finally it was time to say our "goodbyes" the kids were hugging DH as he smiled widely and handed DS a postcard form Mickey (we had it signed when DH and I went for our Anniversary in May!). The kids were in awe! They were totally clueless and I really did pull off the surprise. Once we were on the plane DD spiked a fever, but I had motrin and I was able to keep it under control. SHe was great on the flight, but she did throw up at the Orlando Airport (I still can't believe she made it to the bathroom) while DH was picking up the car. ALthough she didn't feel well most of the trip and we had to take things a bit more slowly all in all it was a great vacation and given the opportunity I would do a short trip again.
We stayed at OKW from the 25-29 and then switched to the BCV from the 29-1.
25th we just went to WCC at WL for a celebration dinner. DS has always wanted to try it and since it was his special day... Dinner was great and we had planned to go to MK for the fireworks but DD was simply too ill.
26th We went to MK in the morning, back to OKW for a swim/nap for DD and to MGM for the evening. There was a 10:30 Fantasmic so we also stayed for that.
27th AK in the AM (never do Donald's Breakfastasaurus on an EMH day!) We started the scavenger hunt and were pretty hot and tired by 2pm. We went back to the room for a short nap and swim Before heading back to MK for E night.
28th We headed to Epcot in the AM and just did a few key things-saving World Showcase for another evening. From Epcot we went to MGM via the bus.
29th We headed to AK in the am to finish the scavenger hunt, then to BB for a few hours of water fun, next switched to BCV and to our surprise our room was ready. We swam for several hours, it rained really bad so we were unable to get to Epcot and shose an evening at DTD shopping.
30th MK for opening ceremonies and a whirlwind through Fantasy land in 45 minutes (we were able to do everything except the carousel which the kids didn't want to ride!). Back to BCV to play in the pool before heading back to MK for the evening. We caught the rides we wanted to do again and then watched Spectro and FIS.
1st Checked out and went home...Time to plan for Summer 2004!
